Perry showed exactly what I wanted to see on Wednesday night from the senior back. I was impressed with Perry’s vision and balance. Though on limited carries due to Kingsley wanting to get multiple players looks. Perry ran the ball hard and showed very good power from his running back spot. On multiple plays Perry was hit near the line of scrimmage but was able to bounce off the hit and fight for additional yards. Perry also showed very good speed and he was able to get to the second level in a hurry and put a lot of pressure on safety’s to come up and make a play. Perry is a player I have been high on and he did a very good job not changing my opinion.

The first thing I noticed about Perry is the toughness he runs the ball with. It’s not easy to run the ball between the tackles but Perry does an excellent job doing so. Make no mistake though Perry can bounce the ball to the outside and chew up yards in a hurry with his excellent speed and good jump cutting ability. Another thing I like about Perry is the fact he is a 2 way player and has become a very solid defender for the stags. On multiple occasions he comes up from his corner spot and delivers a bone crunching hit. I think Perry is in for a big fall season and he is one to keep an eye on.

A super intriguing new addition to TC Central by way of Kingsley.
I’ve discussed Perry a couple of times this offseason. Showed a lot of promise at Kingsley, being generally above-average in all areas. As long as Perry has had a productive offseason, he’ll be a great weapon for TC Central. There is some competition in the TC Central RB room, but I am confident that Perry will earn his touches. Improvements to all-around power and speed could propel Perry up the rankings.

Perry spent his past two seasons at Kingsley. Since then, he’s landed at Traverse City Central.
Perry was a very productive running back at Kingsley. Running in the T formation, Perry did a great job following his blocks, running within the structure, and earning a few extra yards from time to time. Plays like 1:28 demonstrate Perry’s shiftiness in close quarters. Lastly, Perry has a handful of promising defensive highlights.
I’m curious to see how Perry’s skills translate to Traverse City Central. Absolutely an upgrade in competition level!

- VERY curious to see what Perry accomplishes at TC Central next season (transferring from Kingsley)
- Not super athletic but still slippery in tight space
- Decent speed and contact balance
- Looking forward to seeing how he meshes with a new offense

Kingsley is a team defined by their offensive line and running backs. This past season, Perry did an excellent job as a Sophomore on Varsity.
Perry’s best highlight comes at 1:08. He does an excellent job of hitting the intended hole and easily picks up the first down, but then, Perry hits the open field, sidesteps a few tackles, and gains several extra yards. Sure, some of the home-run touchdowns are nice, but even though this wasn’t a TD, this play showed an ability to fight for extra yards.
3:11 is another play worth a quick mention. You need to be able to block if you’re a RB in a Power-T offense, and Perry lays an excellent lead block here. I’d love to see several more of these blocks on next year’s tape!
Perry is a solid running back! He still has a little over a year before most colleges look at the Class of 2027, and in that time, I’d expect a lot of improvement.
