Landon showed well here, and the main thing for him was throwing on time and with conviction in the 1-on-1 period of the showcase. I thought fundamentally, and through the agility circuit, Landon showed why he is getting some collegiate attention from some college football programs. This past senior season, Landon had some moments of good play, but he was on an overall young football team. As an individual, Landon has shown he is a college-level quarterback.

The new Rams quarterback fit into the offense well, throwing two touchdown passes with nice accuracy and touch. The ball came out quickly and with good velocity when throwing to other receivers in the passing game as well. Landon didn’t have to show any of his dual-threat ability in this one, but that will become a valuable asset as the Rams face tougher competition this season.

Landon really impressed me in a good crop of quarterbacks at this showcase. He has worked a lot on his mechanics, and his delivery is a lot smoother than when I saw him live last season in gameplay. The other area where Landon improved is his anticipation and ball placement. I felt like last season he was waiting for receivers to be open before delivering the football. During 1-on-1s he was able to throw receivers open more consistently.

We’ve seen Stewart in a few camp settings and it’s time to move him into the rankings. He has a good arm and consistently performs close to the guys higher in the rankings in the showcases he attends. We simply need to see a bit more of his in-season film before we’re ready to move him higher. But, he’s a guy we like enough to move off the watch list and into the rankings.

Stewart just needs an extended opportunity, as he’s thrived every time he’s been called upon to make a play for the Chambers offense. His slighter build hasn’t hurt his arm strength as he’s able to generate plenty of velocity on his throws to all levels of the field.
