With all the talent still on the board, I wanted to start an “Uncommitted Senior Series” to highlight 2025 prospects still going through their recruiting process. These are players who I think have the potential to produce at the next level and can fill out any recruiting needs for your team.

A sleeper on one of this year's Class A playoff teams! Senior Will Kalcevich contributed on both sides of the ball, flashing a versatile skillset at receiver and as a rangy defensive back who does a great job finding the ball. Kalcevich had some impressive plays on tape in which he showed nice hustle as he ran across the field to make a touchdown-saving tackle. He quickly flips his hips and breaks on the ball while taking smart angles when closing on the ball carrier. Good perimeter blocker on offense and can be relied on to get open on short/crucial downs. Solid upside!

While checking out the Mustangs, you should also look at WR/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='319558' first='Aidan' last='Hartshorn'], who had a solid senior campaign. Aidan hauled in 18 receptions for 313 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Aidan displays great route running ability, starting with a twitchy release, the ability to stem his routes, and sharpness at the breakoff point. He is especially dangerous in the slot where he can use his full route tree to attack all levels of the field. Underrated speed that makes him a threat to slip behind the defense for big gains. Hartshorn also played well on defense, recording 34 tackles, two TFLs, a sack, and an interception.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056236' first='Isaiah' last='Morgan'] (Twitter), RB - Omaha Bryan - 5'10" 210 lbs

Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1056236' first='Isaiah' last='Morgan'] posted one of the best individual rushing seasons in school history and looks to continue that momentum at the next level. Morgan carried the ball 193 times for 1,101 yards, four rushing touchdowns, and averaged 5.7 yards a carry. Morgan's 5'10" and 210-pound frame works like a battering ram as he wears away at defenses with his physical, downhill running style. He runs with a good pad level and maintains a low center of gravity as he absorbs and bounces off tackles. Isaiah isn't the type of back to dance around too much, but he does show enough wiggle to make a quick cut and go if he sees a lane. Would be a good addition to any backfield!

Crofton RB [player_tooltip player_id='1260227' first='Wyatt' last='Tramp'] has been on our radar since his breakout junior campaign and great showing during off-season camps. Tramp carried that momentum into a solid senior season that saw the Warriors make a deep run during the playoffs. Wyatt is a punishing downhill runner who can barrel through defenses. He runs through defenders while keeping his knees churning and maintaining great balance. One thing people underestimate about Wyatt is his breakaway speed, showing that he can hit another gear when he clears the defense. Very talented prospect with a ton of tread still on his tires!

[player_tooltip player_id='1429599' first='Cole' last='Heimes'], ATH - Hartington-Newcastle - 5'11" 175 lbs

A two-way hidden gem from the 8-man ranks, [player_tooltip player_id='1429599' first='Cole' last='Heimes'], looks like a player ready to make an impact at the next level. He had a super productive senior season in which he recorded 1,968 total offensive yards and 39 touchdowns with 88 tackles and four interceptions on defense. Cole is a shifty, fluid runner who displays great vision with a good change of direction as he weaves through defenses. He's very tough, displaying solid contact balance that allows him to stay upright as he bounces off of would-be tackles. Heimes also projects well playing safety with his ability to analyze offenses and make smart reads. His closing speed and quick break on the ball allow him to patrol the deep field while still being effective against the run. I couldn't find a Twitter/X account, but if you're recruiting around northeast Nebraska, it might be worth stopping by Hartington-Newcastle to check Cole out!

[player_tooltip player_id='1229775' first='AJ' last='Paladino'] (Twitter), DL - Elkhorn North - 6'2" 230 lbs

One of the biggest risers in the 2025 DL class! Elkhorn North senior [player_tooltip player_id='1229775' first='AJ' last='Paladino'] had a big breakout season in his first season as a full-time starter on the defensive line. AJ's production exploded with 75 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions (one returned for a TD), a forced fumble, and a blocked kick. AJ proved very disruptive at the line of scrimmage with his explosiveness when firing off the ball. He does a great job generating an initial push with his aggressiveness at the point of attack. AJ also does a good job setting the edge and has the lateral quickness to track down RBs trying to bounce runs to the outside. Very good pursuit and does an excellent job tracking the ball. Paladino currently holds offers from Hastings College, Morningside, and Midland, with the potential to add more in the upcoming weeks.

Senior Max Thompson has had a very impressive prep career, during which he's been very productive but just as overlooked. Thompson recorded 58 receptions, 877 receiving yards, eight touchdowns, 26 tackles, a TFL, and three interceptions. I can see Max excelling at either wide receiver or defensive back at the next level, with his upside at receiver shining just a bit brighter. He is a versatile receiver who can line up anywhere across the formation, using his speed to threaten defenses vertically on the outside and his craftiness as a route runner to tear up defenders from the slot. Very good hands at the catch point with excellent concentration when making catches through contact. Thompson also displays a solid burst after the catch, as he's always looking to tack on extra yardage after the catch. Max's ball-hawking ability and football IQ on defense will also surely draw some attention from coaches looking to fill out their DB room. You can't go wrong just getting this guy on campus and letting him cook on one side or the other.
