Your classic big Middle Linebacker, listing himself at 6-foot and 205-pounds as of this write up in November 2024. That said, more athletic and capable than a one-trick, run-stopping Mike between the A-Gaps. Also plays Tight End on the offensive side of the ball and runs with some good speed once he gets lumbering up field. Based off his film, he plays in chase very well and actually does make up some ground. Played for a retooled Matawan Dawg Pound Elite team that had a number of pretty good football players on its roster this year.

Actually living down the shore in Manalapan, Berland makes the trek up the Parkway North to Bergen County where he has made a name for himself as a Fullback/Linebacker--with an emphasis on the latter position. The first several plays on his film are of him as a Fullback, but with that position on life support in the football space, he should be viewed as a Linebacker prospect. While he's built like a Mike and ultimately think he'll end up there, he did bump to an Outside Linebacker with success when the team went to a 5-2 defense.

Came across Kelly's film while looking at a teammates and immediately took notice of the kid wearing jersey #25. Love him on film in terms of being a more athletic run-stopper lurking behind the defensive line. While I don't have exact measurements, he appears to be in the 5-foot-nine or 5-foot-10 range and is thick in all the right places for a Mike Linebacker. Breaking down the clips I've seen, I love the way he closes when coming down hill. Stays low and in position. Plays behind his pads and toes. Kid has a big future.

A Linebacker that plays with quick bursts and can really be a factor in the front seven of a defense. He's very capable of defending the pass as well, but with his build and quickness at this point, he's more of a difference marker in the box and against the run. Plays extremely disciplined as a Middle Linebacker and displays an advanced ability to read his keys and react accordingly based on the offense. This season has proven to be one of the memory bank, as Doman and the Hillsborough Dukes won the Central Jersey Pop Warner championship.

I truly think the best is yet to come for Rosalva as a football player. The term "stuck" isn't the right word to use, but playing in a league with weight restrictions and other hurdles had him playing his far share of Offensive Line, Defensive Line, Tight End, etc. That said, I think he looks like a nice Middle Linebacker as he (presumably) moves on to the high school level in Fall 2025. He has the strength and build for the position--despite me not being totally convinced of him being the size he's listed at. While we await verified sizes for the future, I know he can tackle and knows his way around a football field from playing multiple positions early in his football career.
