Tasso flew under the radar (at least for me) up until a couple months ago. Last season, Tasso proved that he could be a great 3-down RB in Michigan’s Division 1. His highlights show a great mix of vision, elusiveness, and speed. Several highlights show extremely patient running- Tasso is great at waiting for his blocks to develop, then bursting into the open once a hole opens up. Plus, he’s shifty enough to make LBs/DLs miss in the box.
I would love to see a touch more speed, and better contact balance. With a little bit of improvement in those areas, Tasso could raise his floor by a ton.

Strengths
- Great vision
- Patient runner; follows blocks
- Good straight-line speed
Weaknesses
- Little contact balance
- Average change of direction
- Not strong
Tasso has good tape. His vision and IQ are very good. Has patience to follow blocks, and has the straight-line speed to outrun the majority of high school defenders. Problems arise with contact balance and change of direction. Few missed tackles on tape. Few if any instances of impressive open-field elusiveness. Can sidestep a defender in close quarters, but struggles to change direction quickly. If his speed is great, could be a low D2 guy. Now, he’s a D3 prospect.

I’m very late to the party with Tasso. Considering the saturation of the RB market and the fact I haven’t scouted him in person, my gut says Tasso will be a Division 3 prospect.
Tasso is everything you could reasonably want in a High School running back. He’s got great vision, good contact balance, and overall makes he most out of each and every carry. Plus, he’s got good open-field elusiveness. 1:09 shows Tasso juke out the safety to secure the TD. 2:08 shows his ability to barrel through defenders in the redzone.
He has good tape, but what’s going to make or break recruitment is the offseason. Tasso needs to be well-repped in the 40, shuttle, broad jump, and L. If he performs excellently in those categories, I could easily see Tasso earning D2 offers. Now, he’s a high D3 guy in my eyes.

This season, Tasso was a very productive player for Livonia Stevenson. Most of his highlights are at RB, but he also has a few receiving highlights.
Speaking on the rushing highlights, Tasso does a great job of running within the structure of the offense, hitting the hole, and exploding to the second level. His first highlight shows solid vision as he simply follows his blocks then turns on the burners to secure the TD. At 0:50, Tasso slips through a tight space and breaks free for the TD.
All in all, Tasso seems to have excellent instincts as a runner. He runs with patience yet knows when to turn on the burners. In addition, I like his subtle elusiveness in traffic. I don’t see great change of direction or contact balance, but I do see pretty solid vision and speed.
I’m interested in seeing Tasso’s testing statistics. I believe he has good enough tape to be a Division 3 prospect. If his athleticism is better than what I see on tape, he could be a low D2 guy.

I didn’t know a ton about Tasso going into it, but after watching his ability on film, I really liked what I saw. The first thing I noticed was him running the ball with great quickness and change of direction, and being able to turn on the jets once he hit the open field. His vision and balance allow him to make guys miss and find the crease with ease, and on multiple occasions he was all but stopped but still found a way to get out of it. Even between the tackles, he was able to shimmy through and hit the 2nd level with speed. Tasso is definitely on my radar, hopefully I can catch him at a camp this offseason!
