Expert Analysis
Bryan Ault | Prep Redzone Scout
Wesley Summersett could be a diamond-in-the-rough prospect. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Class of 2027 linebacker/safety possesses good ball skills, great closing speed and has great range. Very good run defender who can pursue and chase sideline-to-sideline. Has a good, muscular frame with plenty of room to grow and add bulk. The South Adams High School prospect picked up an offer from Bowling Green this week.

Wesley Summerset really shined at the camp with his athleticism, especially in coverage during the skelly drill where he recorded multiple pass breakups and was tough to beat in coverage. On tape, Summersett is a solid blitzer who can pressure the QB and takes good pursuit angles. He is a good block shedder who can shed at the corner, wrap up, and make open-field tackles. He recorded 65 total tackles and three forced fumbles last year with one interception.

Summersett had his best game of the year and stepped up when they needed it most. He was impressive and got better as the night went on. He was aggressive and went after the ball when it was in the air. He broke tackles and picked up YAC. His 7 catches for 173 yards and 1 TD. Those 7 catches and 173 yards were both career highs for Summersett and if he can continue to play at that level, South Adams will continue to roll.
