2023 Watch list Running backs

Making our list today for some analysis are some backs that deserve a spotlight. These guys are most definitely ones to keep your eyes on this coning up season and could be ones that earn themselves spots even higher on our rankings. These are running backs that could very well be breakout prospects that could be thrust into the national spotlight this season.     [player_tooltip player_id="138471" first="Elijah" last="Davis"] (23) | 5’9" 165 | RB | Riverside Academy Elijah is ranked as our NO.6 ranked running back and for good reason. The versatile back on the field can make plays happen. He shows good top-end speed and good vision as a ball carrier. I love his change of directional speed. Once he sees a hole opens up, he can make one or two moves and be off to the races. Also very versatile as well being a good receiving back out of the backfield. Size and build are a little below average, however, I could see him adding more mass to his frame at the next level. He shows he can be patient, wait for a hole to develop, or bounce a run out to the sideline. His speed won’t drop your jaw, but it is good. He shows good lateral speed and flexibility. He can bounce runs out to the sideline that look like they will be blown up in the backfield. This is a very raw and talented running back, who shows some decent speed and ability to make people miss.
