The second round of the 6A playoffs in the state of the Utah is now set and there are alot of good games to watch this week. Here are the following matchups to watch to get a good evaluation of our ranked and under the radar prospects in the state.

Skyridge EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='698237' first='Deshawn' last='Toilolo'] vs. Riverton OL Maximus Tuimaseve

Boise State Commit Toilolo has been disruptive along the LOS with his initial quickness, ability to shed blocks and active hands as a pass rusher that's made him a top ranked prospect in our state. He'll have a good matchup against Tuimaseve, who shows he has the ability to bend at the LOS to go with his frame, a physical run blocker, initial movement to pull/trap block and solid in pass protection. The 6'5 prospect has been receiving high interest from schools like Utah State and Oregon State. This will be a fun matchup to watch along the trenches.

Davis EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1207649' first='Juni' last='Moala'] vs. Mountain Ridge OL Jayden Stockebrand

Moala is a prospect that uses his 6'4 frame and length to control blocks and ability to shed to find ball carriers in the run game. His wing span and active hands as a pass rusher that allows to get to the QB are all reasons why schools like Utah and Stanford are interested in him. He'll get to up against Stockebrand, a 6'3 prospect with thick build that can drive defenders off the ball and make open field blocks. Shows hands and sustain his feet in pass protection. Has received interest from Utah State. These two met earlier this season and they'll see each other again, only this time the lights will be brighter.

Fremont EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1251608' first='Nash' last='Bailey'] vs. Syracuse OL [player_tooltip player_id='894781' first='Ty' last='Hunter']

Bailey is an underecruited prospect at the EDGE position that shows flexibility to bend at the LOS, initial quickness, strength at the POA, Shed ability and UOH as a pass rusher. His production on the field has earned him all regional honors and he'll most likely go up against Hunter, a 6'4 prospect with a thick build that has received offers from schools like Southern Utah and Weber State. The two will get to get to go at it again as they saw each other earlier this season and this time on a bigger stage where more eyes will be watching.

Bingham EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='872775' first='Will' last='Van Cott']/[player_tooltip player_id='698243' first='Jaice' last='Tupea'] vs. Weber OL [player_tooltip player_id='698552' first='Benjamin' last='McMurrin']

McMurrin is a 6'2 underrecruited prospect that shows good movement. Shows strength, hips and leg drive to drive defenders off the ball and make open field blocks. Quickness to set his base, hands and sustain feet and balance in pass protection. He'll have his hands full as he goes up against Van Cott and Tupea who are highly ranked in our 2025 class and have received Division 1 offers. This makes for interesting matchup along the trenches.

Lehi WR [player_tooltip player_id='1680859' first='Legend' last='Glasker']/Griffin Fa'amausili vs. Layton DB [player_tooltip player_id='1309951' first='Carlos' last='Diaz']

Glasker and Fa'amausili have been productive in the passing game for the Pioneers. Both are receiving offers from division 1 programs, with their speed they can create separation at the top of the route and ability to get in and out of cuts quickly. They both will have to go up against Diaz, a 6'2 under recruited prospect with quick feet, hips and COD to mirror receivers and has been playing at an all state level. This will make for a good matchup between prospects with size and athletic ability.
