The story of Xyere Brooks Xyere Brooks 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy | 2027 State NJ is a sad one. Brooks recently lost his life to gun violence prior to the release of this article. Despite this, I made the conscious decision to proceed with writing about Brooks to honor his great play and talent. Ranked within the class of 2027’s top 70 and the 8th overall running back, Brooks would go head first into a pile, keep his legs churning, and eek out extra yardage. AS a receiver, he high pointed the ball and uses his hands to catch it – the tell-tale sign of any natural athlete. Speed was a part of Brooks’ game too, as film shows him beating linebackers to the sideline and then turning up the sideline in a hurry. Somewhat a human joystick, defenses must defend the entire field against him as cutback vision is full-on display. Lastly, Brooks was awfully creative in the open field making defenders miss in the most unexpected ways.
