2023 Quarterback Ranking Risers
In this article:
Today we look at some of the top junior quarterbacks who have raised them selfs up and earned a spot on our rankings. These are some quarterbacks who deserve the national attention that other QBs from around the country get. We hope to shine a light on some of the talented QBs the state has to offer.
Trey Dunn Trey Dunn 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Myrtle Beach | 2023 State SC | 6’1″ 180 lbs | Dual-threat QB | South Charleston
Dunn has had a most impressive career so far since starting on varsity as a freshman. He has completed 238 of the passes of his 385 attempts, throwing for over 3,800 yards and 37 touchdowns with only 16 career INTs. Dunn can also get the job done with his legs as he has impressive speed and his athleticism bears out in both departments. No offers yet probably from being a bit undersized but don’t let his size full you. He can torch defenses through the air and ground.
Grant Cochran Grant Cochran 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Princeton | 2023 State WV | 6’5″ 215 lbs | QB | Princeton
Grant has excellent size and requisite size you’d like to see at the next level and into the pros already and was only a sophomore last season. Grant has a strong arm and can drop in deep bombs to receivers and put it on the money. Footwork and mechanics need a bit of work but overall a good QB is an FBS / FCS type of prospect.

Brody Dalton Brody Dalton 6'4" | 175 lbs | QB Chapmanville | 2023 WV | 6’4″ 175 lbs | Dual-threat QB | Chapmanville
Brody is a dual-threat quarterback who can throw and run well. He shows impressive speed and can take off with the ball if he has to but looks downfield to pass first. He also shows good velocity on all of his passes and he should be special this season. I like his size, athletic-looking build, and live arm he shows on all passes.
