Week 5.. Oregon 6A Point Spreads & Predictions

Just like last season we will break down the 6A top 15 each week, giving point spreads and predictions for each contest. Have a look at the state's top games and who is favored in WEEK 5.         #13 Tigard @ #1 West Linn (-48.5)   The Tigers played relatively well against Sherwood. That said, as West Linn looks to be firing on all cylinders after destroying a good Skyview WA program 45-0 last week.    (-57) #2 Central Catholic @ Gresham   Starters for CC will be done by half at the latest in 4 of the next 5 weeks.    #4 Tualatin @ #3 Lake Oswego  PICK'EM   With so many lobsided contests statewide this game is refreshing. Both teams haven't been challenged by anyone yet, so it will likely come down to whoever handles the pressure and key situations better. Tualatin QB [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] and Lake O RB [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] are two Oregon 6A POY favorites.    (-24.5) #5 Lakeridge @ #11 Oregon City    Give a lot of credit to OC who might play the toughest schedule in the state. Separate from the TRL gauntlet starting this week, the Pio's have played Jesuit, Mountainside, and WA #1 Camas in the preseason. They should be commended for their schedule with so many teams doing the opposite.    Lakeridge stepped up big last week, hammering reigning 5A state champ Wilsonville 34-9. This was a statement game and one the Pacers needed.    (-50)#6 Sheldon @ North Salem   Subs will be in by Mid 2nd quarter..    Westview @ #7 Jesuit (-44.5)   The Crusaders have looked great the last few weeks, riding senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1474324' first='Dominic' last='Locati'] and WR's [player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='285867' first='Grant' last='Valley']. The Wildcats continue to have numerous athletes transferring every year which has made it tough.    Sandy @ #8 Nelson (-22)   Sandy is a decent football team and could hang around if you let them. I don't believe that will be the case as Avirey Durdal is an experienced QB and someone who will always show up    (-25)#9 Mountainside @ Sunset   As referenced last week, Mountain View WA is not a bad football team, even at 0-4. It is concerning though that Mountainside was only able to squeak out a 20-18 victory in the final seconds. Look for the Mavericks to bounce back big this week with Sunset struggling.    North Medford @ #10 Sherwood (-17.5)   The Black Tornado looked good in their 35-0 win over West Salem, after getting blasted by Sheldon and Sprague the two weeks prior. Sherwood's [player_tooltip player_id='1103727' first='Wilson' last='Medina'] has run for close to 600 yards in the last two games, against quality competition (Tualatin, Tigard), so expect North to do everything they can to contain him.    (24.5)#12 Sprague @ South Salem   This is a big opportunity for South, which isn't a bad team. The Oly's have been playing good ball all year but haven't really played anyone. The last game of the year against Sheldon could be entertaining.   Grants Pass @ #14 South Medford (-13)   This could be interesting with both teams winning their last three games each. We will see how drained GP is after their 55-54 win over South Salem last week.
