<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1154948' first='Isaiah' last='Carpenter'], St. Pius X</strong>: He threw 2 TD passes in the first 13 minutes of St. Pius X's 14-6 win over Silver Thur. at Community Stadium. Finished 20-of-31 passing for 212 yards and 2 TD.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615632' first='Uriel' last='Castro'], Bernalillo</strong>: The Spartans QB threw a long TD pass to [player_tooltip player_id='1599893' first='Joseph' last='Duran'] and rushed for a 23-yard TD in the fourth quarter to force OT against Espanola Valley. Then, he ran 10 yards for a TD on Bernalillo's 1<sup>st</sup> possession of OT. Castro finished with 173 passing yards and 240 total yards. When the Spartans defense stopped Espanola Valley on its 2-point try in OT, they escaped with a dramatic come-from-behind 21-20 win. </p>

<p><strong>Cam Dyer, La Cueva</strong>: Dyer worked his magic again as he rushed for 246 yards and 4 TD and threw for 171 yards and 1 TD in the Bears' 48-14 victory over West Mesa.</p>

He rushed 10 times for 69 yards and made 8 tackles with 2.0 TFL and 1.0 sack on defense. </p>

<p><strong>Gabe Trujillo, Bernalillo</strong>: The senior LB and one of the leaders of Bernalillo's ‘Goon Squad' defense had 16 tackles and 2 TFL in the hard-fought win over Espanola Valley.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1258970' first='James' last='Vautier'], Manzano</strong>: Led Manzano's rout of Chaparral by completing 14-of-20 passes for 179 yards and 3 TD. Six receivers had 2+ receptions. The Monarchs are 5-1 after moving to Class 4A in the latest NMAA realignment. </p>

Galindo and the Artesia offense have scored 57+ points in each of its wins during the current 3-game winning streak.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1137475' first='Jayden' last='Gutierrez'], Lovington</strong>: Even though the Wildcats were beaten by Artesia, Gutierrez had an outstanding game with 6 receptions for 166 yards and 1 TD on offense and 3 tackles and 2 INT on defense.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1594674' first='Tommy' last='Lopez'], Portales</strong>: Lopez has filled in nicely for injured starting QB [player_tooltip player_id='615523' first='Paxton' last='Culpepper']. In Week 6, he passed for 135 yards and 3 TD while rushing for 152 yards and 2 TD in a 34-21 victory over Valencia at Greyhound Stadium. Added 12 tackles on defense.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='837197' first='Ryan' last='Alfaro'], Deming</strong>: Scored on a 2-yard TD run with 12 seconds left as the Wildcats rallied for a 29-27 victory over Mayfield at Field of Dreams. Alfaro finished with 133 yards rushing, 4 TD and 6-of-12 passing. Deming trailed, 27-17, entering the 4th quarter but scored two TD to pull out the road win.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1142755' first='Steven' last='Arellin'] Jr., Mayfield</strong>: He had 7 pancake blocks in Mayfield's down-to-the-wire loss to Deming. </p>

<p><strong>Juan Rios, Gadsden</strong>: Rios, a junior, had by far the best game of his career with 154 yards rushing and 2 TD on 5 carries against Goddard. His backfield mate, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615673' first='Alfredo' last='Andrade']</strong>, added 133 yards on 17 carries. In all, Gadsden rushed for 313 yards and 4 TD in the lopsided win. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1119160' first='Soren' last='Annon'], St. Michael's</strong>: The Horsemen have one of the top rushing attacks in the state and they showed it again in a big road win at Raton. Annon rushed for 210 yards and 4 TD as St. Michael's remained undefeated. </p>

<p><strong>Samiko Castillo, Cuba</strong>: Led the Rams' defensive effort against Hozho Academy with 6 tackles, 2 sacks and 4 QB hurries. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1119597' first='Kyle' last='Evenhus'], Los Alamos</strong>: The Hilltoppers won their third straight game with a lopsided victory over Del Norte and are currently 3-0 in District 5A-1. Evenhus completed 13-of-16 passes for 237 yards and 3 TD.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1720592' first='Julian' last='Fernandez'], Grants</strong>: We have our first 2029 prospect (8<sup>th</sup> grader) of the season. Fernandez rushed for 134 yards on 14 carries in Grants' 28-6 victory over Aztec. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='854297' first='Tristin' last='Fernandez'], Grants</strong>: Fernandez did it all for Grants in the win over Aztec. He threw for 150 yards, rushed for 77 yards on just 6 carries and led the Pirates defense with 11 tackles, including 4.0 TFL and 2.0 sacks. </p>

<p><strong>Jesse James Gonzalez, Robertson</strong>: Gonzalez had one of his best all-around games of the season in a mercy-rule win over Tularosa as he threw for 243 yards and 3 TD on 11-of-13 passing, rushed for a team-high 82 yards and 1 TD and made five tackles on defense with 2 interceptions. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615590' first='Nathaniel' last='Gonzalez'], Robertson</strong>: The senior had 6 receptions for 146 yards and 2 TD in the win over Tularosa. The Cardinals are 6-0 and show no signs of slowing down.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1604744' first='Jordan' last='Herrera'], Los Alamos</strong>: The sophomore had 123 yards rushing and 3 TD on 13 carries in a win over Del Norte. Herrera is on pace for a 1,000-yard season and has 464 yards and 7 TD on the ground in the last 3 games.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='854274' first='Richard' last='Lovato'], Cuba</strong>: Cuba won its first game of the season with a 26-8 victory over Hozho Academy in a District 2A-1 clash. Lovato, the Rams quarterback, completed 6-of-12 passes and rushed for 103 yards and 2 TD on 6 carries to lift the Cuba offense. Added 4 tackles, 1 sack and 6 QB hurries on defense and punted twice. </p>

<p><strong>Derek Victorino, Jr., Laguna-Acoma</strong>: The senior QB had a fantastic game in a wild loss to Navajo Prep as he threw for 166 yards on 11-of-17 passing and rushed for 158 yards on 17 carries. He finished with 324 total yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='853022' first='Peyton' last='Duncan'], Bloomfield</strong>: Duncan is another player who did it all for his team. He caught 3 passes for 120 yards ad 1 TD, rushed for 29 yards, returned 2 punts for 93 yards and 1 TD, made 4 tackles on defense, intercepted a pass and had 2 passes defended. In all, he accumulated 295 all-purpose yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1119659' first='Xavier' last='Nez'], Navajo Prep</strong>: Nez threw for 3 TD and ran for 2 in Navajo Prep's 44-38 win over Laguna-Acoma. He finished the game 18-of-25 passing for 239 yards and ran for the game-winning TD with less than 6 minutes left in the 4<sup>th</sup> quarter.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1600795' first='Salid' last='Rashid'], Miyamura</strong>: The junior QB threw for a season-high 259 yards and 3 TD in a win over Belen that improved the Patriots to 3-2. Halfway through the regular season, Rashid has passed for close to 800 yards and 9 TD.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='615635' first='Blake' last='Spencer'], Bloomfield</strong>: Spencer is a fixture on this list, and for good reason. He had another outstanding game against Taos, an opponent that figured to give the Bobcats a battle . Didn't happen. Spencer threw for 305 yards and 5 TD on 15-of-25 passing and rushed for 125 yards as Bloomfield mercy-ruled Taos, 55-0.</p>
