Grand Oaks Grizzlies (3-1) vs. College Park Cavaliers (2-2)

Friday night we have a matchup of foes who will be fighting to stay amongst the top of the district. Grand Oaks is coming off a 68-0 blowout victory last week. They are led offensively by standout juniors, quarterback Grant Smith, running back Devon Wallace, and receiver [player_tooltip player_id='402711' first='Preston' last='Cloud']. Defensively, Brandon Moylan, inside backer, Joshua Tang, outside backer, and defensive back Jackson DeGeorge lead the charge. The Grizzlies allow just under 16 points per game, playing a fast and physical brand of ball.

The Cavaliers are no strangers of putting up points, averaging 37 points per game. Behind stellar sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1567990' first='Camden' last='Hughes'], the offense can put up points in bunches. With two outstanding options at receiver, Clint Rachal and junior Jordan Styles, the Cavalier offense is a challenge for any defense. On the defensive side junior defensive backs David Sands and Marco Beltran highlight a strong unit. This matchup should be physical and give us a clear view on where these teams stand in the district.

Langham Creek Lobos (3-0) @ Bridgeland Bears (2-1)

District play opens up with these two teams and it should be an exciting one! The Lobos are riding a 3-game winning streak, dominating teams with their run game. Running back Daymond Ruiz has been a force behind the strong Lobo offensive line, averaging close to 150 rushing yards per game. Senior receiver Aiden Teran is another player to watch out for. His skills in the return game as well as his versatility on offense keeps defenses off balance.

The Bears will look to get back on track after a bye. They will be faced with a tough challenge to stop the Lobos run game. Defensive linemen Devion Baptiste, Elijah Levi, and Vinny Discon will be a players to watch. Senior outside backers Andre Roy and Cole Fattig will need to keep containment and shut down the edges. Linebackers Jacob Tucker and Karson Krause will have to be physical at the point of attack, and limit big runs. Offensively the Bears will rely on their two quarterback system and the strong run game. Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1609196' first='Kash' last='Schwab'] is a name to keep tabs on.

Shadow Creek Sharks (3-1) @ Dawson Eagles (3-1)

The Sharks are finding their rhythm on a 3-game win streak. The offense is beginning to click and the connection between quarterback Jojo Stewart and athlete Chris Stewart is improving. They are playing in sync offensively and picking defenses apart with their talents.

The matchup to keep eyes on will be standout sophomore receiver Corey Brown vs a talent Sharks secondary. Quarterback Max Zavala knows how to get the ball out to his playmakers and let them get to work. Should be an entertaining district matchup on Friday night.
