These are the five best in no order, for this article only 2022 and 2023 are being looked at, as the 2024 class had a very limited amount of games in the spring due to COVID.
Chantilly 2022 Aiden Gobaira Aiden Gobaira 6'6" | 235 lbs | DL Chantilly | 2022 State VA
Gobaira, our second-ranked DL recruit in 2022 is a Notre Dame commit and is big and physical. With a 6″6″ 235lbs frame, he has all the size to excel once he gets to South Bend. One of the consensus top 150 players in his class in the country, Gobaira has a lot of expectations but should be able to meet them. Not only is Gobaira a monster on the field, but he also carries a 4.0 GPA, so he has the best of both worlds. With the NCAA dead period over, Gobaira has a visit to his new home in Notre Dame scheduled for June 25-27 which a lot of Irish fans are looking forward to.

Clover Hill (Rockwood) 2022 Bryson Jennings Bryson Jennings 6'6" | 240 lbs | DL Clover Hill | 2022 State VA
Jeninngs, our top overall defensive line recruit in 2022, posted his top four schools back in March, and Penn State, Kentucky, Indiana, and Minnesota are the top runners for Jennings’ commitment. Jennings had four sacks and 13 TFL in a four-game season in the spring and was elected to the All-Region 5B first-team as a result. Jennings stands at 6’6″ and 245lbs but moves like someone lighter with a 4.53 40-yard dash time. Take those into consideration and Jennings looks to be an absolute monster off the line. It will be exciting to see where he lands on signing day.
King’s Fork (Suffolk) 2022 Kyree Moyston Kyree Moyston 6'6" | 215 lbs | DL King's Fork | 2022 State VA
Kyree Moyston Kyree Moyston 6'6" | 215 lbs | DL King's Fork | 2022 State VA is going to be an absolute steal for some very lucky college, as our third-ranked DL recruit and 15ht overall in his class, it’s a fair assessment to say that some schools may be sleeping on the 6’5″, 225lb end who rushes the QB great. Moyston didn’t get a chance to show his skills against teams outside of Suffolk in the COVID season due to their schools playing in a bubble but matched up with some of the more elite talents in that area, Moyston impressed and showed colleges that he had what it takes to be a top-flight recruit.
Currently, he has offers from Michigan State, Marshall, West Virginia, Washington State, Florida International, East Carolina, Pitt, Indiana, Arizona State, ODU, Arizona, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Toledo, Kansas, UVA, and Virginia Tech.

Kecoughtan (Hampton) 2023 David Anderson David Anderson 6'4" | 235 lbs | DL Kecoughtan | 2023 State VA
Anderson is still making his splash onto the recruiting scene after a very short spring season due to COVID protocols and a new head coach at Kecoughtan. Anderson also plays tight end and could be just as good of a recruit on that side of the ball as he is on defense but is our top 2023 DL. Anderson has been showing off on the camp circuit lately and at 6’4″ and 235lbs, there is a lot to show off. Anderson also shows up on the basketball court, showing his speed and agility.
Anderson’s offers include Old Dominion, William and Mary, and most recently, Syracuse.
Forest Park (Woodbridge) 2022 Gilbert Tongrongou Gilbert Tongrongou 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL Forest Park | 2022 State VA
Tongrongou, the Cardinal District Defensive Player of the Year has been a relative newcomer on the scene since more film came out following the short spring season. A name many may not have heard yet I’ve been a supporter of his since last December when his coach sent me film, I knew then that we had a power five caliber DE on our hands, and now the rest of the country is seeing it. While Tongrongou’s footwork and hands are ++, his quickness can’t be ignored either.
At 6’4″ and 250lbs, Tongrongou is a problem if he gets into the backfield, which he does with quickness. Tongrongou holds offers from UVA, Virginia Tech, UConn, Oregon, Coastal Carolina, UMass, West Virginia, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, ODU, and Boston College.
