Week three of high school football in the Natural State had plenty of impressive performances. In this article, we are going highlight several players that lit up Friday night this week. Here are several players to watch out for as conference play begins to heat up.

[player_tooltip player_id='237071' first='Kemp' last='Keller']-Quarterback-Little Rock Christian-6'2” 182-Pounds-2026

The Little Rock Christian signal caller continues to open eyes with his accuracy. Keller was connecting with his wide receivers to all areas of the field Friday night. Against West Memphis, Keller was 25 of 36 for 349 yards and 3 touchdowns. Keller continues to raise his game each week and is in midseason form. Keller is a player to watch out for over the next few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='585569' first='Walter' last='Hicks']-Linebacker-Benton-6'0” 217-Pounds-2025

Over the past few years, [player_tooltip player_id='585569' first='Walter' last='Hicks'] has been one of the most consistent linebackers in the Natural State. Hicks uses his speed well to get sideline to sideline. He sheds blocks quickly and can completely disrupt the offensive backfield. Against Harding Academy, Hicks lived in the offensive backfield. He accounted for 16 tackles and 3 sacks on the night. I expect Hicks to have an impressive season to close out his high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id='207208' first='Garyt' last='Odom']-Quarterback-Fayetteville-6'1” 185-Pounds-2025

[player_tooltip player_id='207208' first='Garyt' last='Odom'] had an impressive game against Texas High on Friday night. He put his great mobility on display throughout the night against the Tigers. He forced the opposing defense to contain his arm as well as his legs. Odom was 22 of 38 for 320 yards and 5 touchdowns on the night. Meanwhile, he rushed 15 times for 93 yards against the Tigers. Odom is off to a great start to the season, and I expect a strong conference slate from the Fayetteville signal caller.

Peyton Zimmerman-Wide Receiver-Fort Smith Southside-5'10” 175-Pounds-2026

Fort Smith Southside had a strong showing on Friday night against Little Rock Southwest. Southside wide receiver Peyton Zimmerman opened plenty of eyes on Friday night. The multi-sport prospect hauled in 6 receptions for 124 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. He uses his crisp route running to create separation from opposing cornerbacks. Zimmerman is a player to watch out for the rest of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='424570' first='Trevion' last='Greer']-Athlete-Riverview-5'8” 165-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='424570' first='Trevion' last='Greer'] is a player to watch out for this season. He is a player that can terrorize the opposing team on both sides of the ball for Riverview. Greer had an impressive night on Friday. On the offensive side of the ball, Greer had 217 all-purpose yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Greer had an interception return for a touchdown. He is a player to watch out for as the conference part of the season heats up for Riverview.

Mario Brownlee-Linebacker-Prescott-5'11” 195-Pounds-2027

The Prescott linebacker is a player that does a great job of shedding opposing blockers. He uses his speed to get sideline to sideline. Brownlee has the ability to drop back into coverage and disrupt the passing game. Prescott has another talent in the form of Brownlee at the linebacker spot. Against Hope on Friday night, he had 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass break up on the night. He is a player to watch out for over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1352615' first='Cooper' last='Buss']-Quarterback-Fountain Lake-6'1” 160-Pounds-2027

The 2027 class has several quarterback prospects to watch out for over the next few years. [player_tooltip player_id='1352615' first='Cooper' last='Buss'] is a signal caller that opposing defenses must account for on the field. Buss opened plenty of eyes with his impressive performance on Friday night. Buss was 15 of 30 for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. Buss made great use of his legs as well. He rushed 10 times for 86 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is a player to watch out for as the season heats up.

[player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood']-Quarterback-Greenland-6'1” 160-Pounds-2027

The Greenland signal caller is starting to become a mainstay on the Prime Time Players list each week. [player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood'] continues to do an impressive job of picking opposing defenses apart with his accurate throwing arm. He has the arm strength to fit the ball into some tight windows. On Friday night, Norwood continued to be sharp throwing the football. He was 21 of 32 for 269 yards and 4 touchdowns on the evening. Norwood is a player to watch out for as the season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='1474446' first='Jayden' last='Young']-Athlete-Rivercrest-5'10” 175-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1474446' first='Jayden' last='Young'] had a busy night on Friday. Young was all over the field for the Colts. On the offensive side of the ball, Young had 9 carries for 137 yards and 3 touchdowns. He tacked on 2 receptions for 38 yards and 1 touchdown. Meanwhile, he tacked on an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown. Young is a prospect that is having an impressive 2024 season and is a player to watch out for as the season progresses.

Carter Little-Quarterback-Charleston-6'1” 175-Pounds-2026

The Charleston Tigers always have talented prospects at the quarterback position and this year is no different. Carter Little was accurate to all areas of the field on Friday night. He was 18 of 23 for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. Little did a nice job of spreading the ball around to his wide receivers against Heavner. The Charleston signal caller is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of the seasons for the Tigers.
