This year's section championship weekend was as-good as-advertised. There were some all-time games, and great individual performances. There were plenty of great moments across the state, but there were a few special ones that stood out. Jalen Suggs and SMB made a statement:

Jalen Suggs, QB/DB/KR, SMB, senior stats:

16/36, 290 yds, 4 TDs, 1 INT

15 carries, 78 yds

2 tackles, 1 INT

3 KR, 11 yds

Jalen Suggs had the best performance of the night. The all-state two sport athlete showed Minnesota that he is one of the best high school athletes in the history of Minnesota. When SMB's back was against the wall, and they found themselves down late in the fourth quarter... Suggs showed up. The 6'5" QB found senior receiver, Terry Lockett for two late fourth quarter touchdowns to seal the win for the Wolfpack. The class 4A favorite will face off with Chisago Lakes in the first round of the state tournament Saturday afternoon. Watch Jalen's game winning TD pass below: [embed]https://twitter.com/JasonWenschlag/status/1190469340400963585[/embed] Rosemount upsets Eden Prairie, 18-17 in a thriller: Rosemount and Eden Prairie played in arguably the game of the week. It was a back fourth defensive battle all night. Heading into halftime the score was tied at 10, with Rosemount's only touchdown coming from their all-state receiver Jonathan Mann. They went through the entire second half with no scores, and then entered overtime still tied at 10. In overtime Eden Prairie scored first, and then kicked a successful extra point. Rosemount scored shortly after on another Mann touchdown, and then the Irish decided to go for two, and and then senior QB, Trevor Amborst found Mason McDonald for the win. Rosemount will take on top seeded Champlin Park, Thursday night. The Polars jumped out to a remarkable 50-0 lead at halftime. Their stud, junior running back, Terrance Kamara, had one of his best performances of the year. He ran all over the St. Agnes defense for 11 carries, 213 yards and four touchdowns. He finished with an unbelievable 19.4 yards per carry. Minneapolis North will play Blue Earth Area High School in the first round of their sixth straight state tournament. Kaleb Blaha led Fridley, in taking down Jonathan Kieren and St. Anthony 28-27:

Kaleb Blaha, QB, Fridley, senior:

12/18, 115 yds, 1 TD

19 carries, 165 yds, 3 TDs

[caption id="attachment_12883" align="alignright" width="116"] Pictured above: Kaleb Blaha[/caption] If Jalen Suggs had the performance of the week, I think Kaleb Blaha was a close second. Fridley's senior quarterback came to play. While the Fridley defense had a tough task with slowing down Minnesota's leading rusher Jonathan Kieren. Blaha was putting together a performance of the offensive side. He finished with 115 yards through the air, and 165 yards on the ground. He was also great in the red-zone, with four total touchdowns. Blaha's had a rushing touchdown with one-minute left on the clock to keep Fridley's perfect season in-tact. The Tigers will have a very tough first round matchup with Hutchinson and Russell Corrigan in the State Tournament. Other notable individual performances:

Joe Nordstrom, RB/DL, Elk River, senior:

28 carries, 156 yds, 2 TDs

1 tackle

Spring Lake Park's Running Game:

Henry Daniels, RB, SLP, junior

17 carries, 169 yds, 2 TDs

Zack Dunbar, QB, SLP, senior

1/1, 30 yds

21 carries, 115 yds, 2 TDs
