The Big 33 Classic is scheduled to take place on May 31. The annual Maryland vs Pennsylvania All-Star Game is always a big deal and draws a big crowd. Team Maryland has a ton of talent especially on the offensive side of the ball. This preview will tell you who you should keep an eye out for during this game. [player_tooltip player_id="90278" first="Jalil" last="Farooq"] The Oklahoma commit will probably be the best offensive player for Team Maryland. Farooq is a great route runner with explosive big play ability. Look for Team Maryland to get him the ball in space so he can make plays after the catch. Farooq also has great speed so expect them to also take a couple of deep shots as well. [player_tooltip player_id="90310" first="Brian" last="Plummer"] Plummer should be able to have a big breakout game. He has size and a big arm. With the weapons and offensive line, he will be playing with he will be able to get creative and make plays out of the pocket while throwing it downfield. With the explosiveness around him expect Plummer to show off his arm. [player_tooltip player_id="90302" first="Jalen" last="Clyatt"] Clyatt who is projected to play safety for Eastern Carolina is listed as a WR on this Maryland team. Expect him to play both ways and make a big impact on both sides of the ball. Clyatt is a big physical receiver that will come down with contested balls. He also has the ability to stretch the field and attack the defense in the vertical passing game so expect him to do so. Dante Thompson [player_tooltip player_id="90310" first="Brian" last="Plummer"] will have a familiar face on the offensive line as Thompson will also be featuring for Team Maryland. Thompson is a guard that can move and shows great mobility. He is versatile enough to be a pulling guard and maul defenders on the inside. Expect him to have a good game. [player_tooltip player_id="90395" first="Adrian" last="Hawkins"] Hawkins is one of the most underrated players on a stacked Dematha team. Hawkins is massive as he is listed at 6’5 310. He is a big power tackle. He is powerful and uses his size and strength to overpower defenders in the run game. Hawkins is more of a traditional power run blocking tackle so expect Team Maryland to run it behind Hawkins a good bit. [player_tooltip player_id="90352" first="Scott" last="Hummel"] Linganore is known for its play in the trenches and Hummel is yet another product from there. Hummel figures to be a real hidden gem as he is only a 2 star but he is a wrestler and is 6’4 305. James Madison looks like they got a real gem. Hummels is a nasty and physical guard that punishes defenders and finishes his blocks. He also does a great job of getting to the next level and blocking downfield. Expect Hummel to put on a show. [player_tooltip player_id="90312" first="Roman" last="Hemby"] The Maryland commit will have to get used to suiting up in Maryland gear, and he will start by representing Team Maryland. Hemby is a back and return man that is a threat to take any play to the house. He has real track speed that will make him very dangerous running behind this Team Maryland offensive line. Once he gets to the 2nd level, his acceleration is special so don’t be shocked to see him break some runs if he can get to the second level.
