<p>There were some impressive numbers posted in the eight-man ranks, and here is a look at five prospects who had solid season-opening games for their respective eight-man programs.</p>

<p><strong>Josh Hutchinson</strong>, RB, 6'0”, 170, Oswego, ‘25</p>

<p>The Oswego Indians fell in the first-week game against Marmaton Valley, but it wasn't due to a lack of a running game. Hutchinson carried the ball 25 times for 217 yards. He found the end zone twice for the Indians. Oswego will look to rebound in week two against rival St. Paul. Hutchinson rushed for 18 touchdowns and 1,342 yards in nine games as a junior. So he is on pace to post similar numbers as a senior.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1115722' first='Ryan' last='Sramek'],</strong> ATH, 5'9”, 135, Rawlings County, ‘25</p>

<p>Sramek is currently ranked No. 210 overall by Prep Redzone. He rushed for 205 yards on 30 carries in the Buffaloes 14-point loss to Dighton. He found pay dirt twice in the game. The eight-man senior also finished with two interceptions and five tackles on the defensive side of the ball.</p>

<p><strong>Reece Remus,</strong> RB, 6'2”, 186, Lakeside, ‘25</p>

<p>The Lakeside Knights lost an eight-point game to Pike Valley in its season opener. Remus had a solid game to start his senior campaign. He rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries. He also caught one ball for 35 yards. He plays linebacker for the Knights and finished with 11 tackles in the loss to Pike Valley.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1229106' first='Carson' last='Vineyard'],</strong> LB, 5'9”, 155, Attica, ‘26</p>

<p>The Attica Bulldogs got shut out by the eight-man powerhouse West Elk. Vineyard is currenlty ranked No. 124 overall in the class of 2026 by Prep Redzone. He put in a yeoman's effort on defense for Attica. He began his junior season with 14 total tackles in the loss. He finished with 106 tackles in nine games as a sophomore. He will have played a ton of snaps by the time his high school career is completed.</p>

<p><strong>Tyson Klotz,</strong> ATH, 5'6”, 130, Minneola, ‘26</p>

<p>Minneola opened the season on the winning side of the equation with a 46-20 victory over Kiowa County. Klotz is a speedster and in the class of 2026. He rushed for 130 yards on 13 carries. He also finished with five receptions for 49 yards and one touchdown.</p>
