Afamasaga checks into our newest rankings update as a top 60 player in the state and one of the top defenders regardless of position after a terrific senior season and has seen his stock rise in recent months. A true inside thumper that excels in-between the tackles with closing speed and a eye for the ball, he is a big time hitter from the second level that can trigger fast, takes the proper angles when closing in the open field and packs a punch at the POA. He also flashes he can get off blocks quickly, scrape fluidly over the top and is a high motor kid that is always around the ball. He should excel at the D2/NAIA+ level and is going to be a late steal here soon.

The Nampa linebacker is one of the hardest hitters in the state and is a high motor prospect that flies around and plays fast at all times. He is a true downhill thumper that can get off blocks quickly in-between the tackles, takes good angles to knife into the backfield and shows he can apply pressure from various angles of the defense. He shows quick change of direction abilities, natural bend around the corner and does a good job breaking down in the open field when making tackles in space. He is another college caliber inside linebacker that has been flying under the radar and should put together a huge season this Fall.

The Nampa prospect is one of the top defenders across Idaho in the 2026 class, and can play anywhere on the second level from inside linebacker to a true edge setter on the perimeter. He plays fast, is a very efficient tackler in space and closes quickly while exploding through contact and is extremely physical at the POA. He fly’s around and can make plays outside the tackles, has quick COD and lateral movement abilities while able to win with both speed and power when rushing off the edge. Overall, he is another no-brainer next level prospect that should have plenty of D2/NAIA+ schools come his way through his senior year for Nampa.
