Haener is one of the more talented pass rushers/offensive tackle two way players on the western region and the Aggies got a true steal that was under-recruited through his prep career. The UC Davis signee is a twitchy and lengthy player with natural bend, violent hands at the POA and flashes elite pass rush abilities from anywhere on the defensive front. He plays long, chokes out blockers and shows he is also stout against the run with a proper strike/pad level and can dent pullers, defeat reach blocks on the perimeter and eat double teams. All tools that are rare to see at such a high level from a high school edge rusher and should allow him to fit nicely at the FCS level and possibly provide early depth on either side of the ball for the Aggies.

He’s explosive off the ball, plays with violent hands and natural bend while able to use both primary and secondary moves when collapsing the pocket. He is equally as talented against the run and plays with a low-hat, consistent strike and has quick block recognition and a high motor. Having a productive off-season thus far, he is in line for a huge 2025 season.

Haener is a long athlete that really can impact the game on both sides of the ball. He has a high football IQ that allows him to play fast and make plays. He is going to be a name to watch as he is only a junior and is going to be a factor in this game for sure.

He is a long and athletic edge rusher that is explosive off the ball, shoots his hands quickly and establishes leverage at the LOS with relentless pursuit to the ball. He also does a good job at setting the edge with a strong punch and is active against the run while a very twitchy and fast player off the edge with natural bend, initial get off and redirect abilities. Look for Haener to continue to pack on weight to his frame, as he has tons of growth potential over the next two years and is a no brainer college prospect.
