JJ Jones JJ Jones 5'8" | 160 lbs | DB Beauregard | 2027 State AL is a super talented defensive back out of Beauregard who made a ton of plays all throughout his first year starting. Jones lines up at safety and can make plenty of plays all around the field- he is excellent at playing against the run and shutting down opposing passing attacks. Jones is highly athletic and plays with a lot of instincts- he is excellent at reading and reacting to plays and always finds himself around the ball making an impact. Jones is a versatile defender and makes a ton of plays in both man and zone coverage- he has the athleticism to stay with anyone lined up across from him and does a great job using his hands to break up passes and haul in interceptions. Jones made plays all over the field last season, he ended the year with 81 total tackles (39 solo), one interception, 3 pass breakups, and one forced/recovered fumble. Be sure to watch Jones this year, he’s got a ton of talents and is set up for a huge sophomore season this fall!
