Team-By-Team Stock-Risers: PPL 2021 Spring Season Pt.2

The Spring season has concluded for the Philadelphia Public League, as well as for Neumann-Goretti and West catholic, two PCL teams. The shortened and delayed season wasn’t without struggle as many games were canceled, closed to the public and media, as well as some players/coaches coming away with the virus. We hope all who may have been affected by COVID throughout this season come out okay and stronger than before. Many coaches and prospects put aside their worries as did what they could to continue playing the sport we love. Now it’s my job to highlight those who stood out and rose their stocks this Spring! Yes, there are other players that can be in the discussion but [player_tooltip player_id="27559" first="Ken" last="Talley"] was without a doubt a terror for offensive lineman game in and game out. His stock was already through the roof, as he was ranked as a top 10 prospect before the Spring. Somehow, the Penn State commit has risen his stock even further! Northeast has added plenty of new prospects to our watchlist this Spring. Greene, Young, and Saunders are all expected to secure spots on our rankings. This team looked like they were slated to make some noise in the PPL this Spring, yet couldn’t hold up those expectations past week one. Nonetheless, numerous prospects have jumped off the screen to me. This team, so long as the great coaching staff stays intact, has all the makings to be the best team in the Catholic League. Collins III, Battle, Warren, Thomas, and Adams were well-known names amongst those following Pennsylvania High School Football. The new names are [player_tooltip player_id="140840" first="Solo" last="Bambara"], a towering, versatile defender who has received an offer from Old Dominion. Hobbs and Sumpter are also bright young prospects that we expect to blossom sooner rather than later.
