Although it is late in recruiting, these two are definitely deserving of another look. The production is there, now they just need to find a home for the fall. Take a look at the offensive and defensive Oregon twitter players of the week:
Offensive Spotlight
Devik Chiang Devik Chiang 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Grants Pass | 2021 State OR , WR, 6’3″ 195lbs, Grants Pass HS ’21
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/9968094/Devik-Chiang
Chiang was a big time playmaker for Grants Pass as he was able to rack up 552 yards on 26 receptions and 6 TD’s, establishing himself as a reliable target. He sizes up with a good frame and length, and can transition well to an X or Z spot at the next level. He shows good feet and coordination, as he is able to hit a quick 3 choppy steps to get in and out of breaks, or explode out of a single cut at the top of his route. His explosiveness as a route runner gives him a solid upside to build off of. He flashes some nice head movement to make DB’s second guess or lunge, where often generates separation. Chiang is a fluid route runner with reliable hands, and can pick up big yards after the catch. He is physical when he needs to be, but can also make you miss. I loved his willingness to block, as he is fearless and will go head up with anyone on the field. He’s a polished blocker at receiver and can lay hat if you don’t see him coming. His only offer is from Southern Oregon, and he remains uncommitted. A 2021 WR with big potential is still up for grabs.
I am humbled to say I’ve recieved my first offer from SOU! Thanks to my coach’s and family for the support to help me reach one of my goals. I hope this is just the beginning for what the future holds for me! pic.twitter.com/yrn5oZUB30

Defensive Spotlight
Ty Delgado Ty Delgado 6'2" | 265 lbs | DL Parkrose | 2021 State OR , DL, 6’2″ 275lbs, Parkrose HS ’21
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/9453838/Ty-Delgado
Delgado is a very underlooked prospect. He doesn’t have ideal size for a DL, but at some point his production has to over rule the “size” aspect of recruiting. In a short season, Delgado was able to accumulate 48 tackles, 12.5 TFL’s, 3.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries. He displays excellent functional strength as he applies the weight room to the field nicely. He’s shown violent hands to make himself an absolute menace in the backfield. He has an excellent initial ball get off, as you’ll see on his tape on the first play where he steals a sweep. He’s strong at the POA and has shown the ability to make plays lateral to the LOS. Delgado has a nose for the football with his 4 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries, and was a big time player for Parkrose. He moves very well for his size and plays with a mean streak. Whichever school takes a chance on this kid won’t be disappointed. He is a two-way starter and a 3 sport athlete at Parkrose and holds a 4.17 GPA as well.
