Here is a list highlighting a few of those players that have the unique combination of skills to play and be successful at the next level.
2022 (FS) Jordan McClom Jordan McClom 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Armstrong | 2022 State MN 6’0 / 180
McClom is a true free safety. What impresss me about McClom is that he gets a great read on the ball. He has exceptional reaction time to make a play quickly. Not only does McClom make great reads but he has the speed to play side-line to side-line from the free safety possession. When McClom gets to the ball he has the size and strength to deliver a hard hit.
Offers: Illinois State and Northern Iowa.
2022 (CB) Jamal Dixon Jamal Dixon 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Moorhead | 2022 State MN 6’2 / 180
I am a big fan of this kid. Dixon is an absolute ball hawk. He has the strength and agility to plant his foot in the ground and make a quick break on the ball. In coverage, Dixon is a lockdown defender. He has the strength and speed to keep up with any receiver. He also positions his body very well to break up passes. Dixon is strong enough to shed blocks, then breaks down and makes sure tackles.
Dixon is receiving interest from several schools DI and DII schools.
2022 (S) Sam Rensch Sam Rensch 6'6" | 205 lbs | DB Hutchinson | 2022 State MN 6’6 / 200
Rensch is a big hard hitting safety. He is very strong and has the ability to take on and shed a blocker. I am also impressed by Rensch’s speed, he has great closing speed and the ability run down the ball and make a tackle from the back side. However, as good of a safety as Rensch is, he could possibly have a bigger impact on the offensive side of the ball as a WR.
Football Offers: USD, Northern Iowa and SDSU
2022 (S) Hudson Artz Hudson Artz 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Fairmont | 2022 State MN 6’1 180
Artz is a strong run stopping safety. What impresses me most about Artz is his explosive quickness and acceleration. He uses his quickness well to get up field and make tackles. He has great closing speed in coverage with the ability break on the ball and break up passes.
Aztz has received offers and interest from several DI and DII schools.
