A must watch 2026 I had circled pre-camp to watch in the live eval from just over the Minnesota border, was Hills-Beaver Creek quarterback

, who impressed me a ton in the 9-man state championship games. The throwing mechanics from Jamin I watched up close showed off even more polished up close than far away at US Bank Stadium in December. Jamin showed off in his throwing motion how he could loosen the corners with his pump fakes and especially on the intermediate routes I watched, could fit his throws into very tight windows along the sidelines. The 9-man All-Stater has a handful of NAIA and D2 offers thus far, and with his more than ideal size and the reps I saw at SDSU, I am very surprised he doesn’t have even more attention yet on the recruting trail. is easily the best 9Man QB I’ve seen while working for PRZ/NFN, and the junior was fantastic live and in-person during the 9Man state semifinal and championship, slinging the rock around with abandon and moving the chains with ease. His connection with fellow Top 100 prospect

was one of the best combinations all state tournament, and his 6’5, 200 lb. frame stands tall in the pocket and delivers strikes with accuracy, zip, and poise. His 2024 season saw him complete 126 passes for 181 yards (70%) for 2,018 yards and 23 TDs along with 55 carries for 455 yards and 12 more TDs on the ground. The accuracy and arm talent are noticeable to say the least, and college programs are taking notice. Augustana and Sioux Falls got him on campus this fall for gameday visits, Iowa came by H-BC this month to check in, and Northwestern College (IA) and Princeton have invited the small schooler to junior days.
Metzger demonstrates a quick, compact release that produces a tight spiral and noticeable zip on the pigskin, as well as a big arm that can stretch the field and can really sling the rock all over the gridiron. He shows good touch on his downfield throws, reads the field quickly and makes good decisions with the football, has the athleticism to buy time behind the LOS and scramble effectively, and puts the ball on the money and with consistency in the passing game. Metzger is a big-bodied ball carrier with solid COD ability who strikes an intimidating presence when he tucks and takes off, and his production, accuracy, big-game performances, history of winning, and number of reps and game experience, not to mention the positional value of a scholarship-worthy QB, makes the argument for itself.

for a first down. He showed good poise when he made the decision to make an option pitch – which was executed perfectly – in the endzone. After showing speed to the corner to pick up good yardage, Metzger threw to James Vandenbosch. It was a perfect pass down the sidelines, resulting in a touchdown. Metzger then made a strong throw to the edge. He showed good short accuracy with a throw to Bush for five yards and then to Vandenbosch for five yards.

The gunslinger for a dangerous HBC team, Metzger has been a key piece of his squad’s success this season. Although he wears a prototypical pocket-passer frame, Metzger is far more than that. This dude is a dual threat, and while he doesn’t have 4.4 speed, he can make moves in space and run over LBs. He makes high-level reads with the ball in his hands and routinely showcases elite ball placement downfield. I’ve been exceptionally impressed with Metzger’s tape and; whoever snags is getting a gem.
