About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is as much mental as physical. I spend a lot of time watching film of upcoming opponents so I learn their defense style and can prepare for the game mentally. I consider myself a pocket throwing with short and long passing and working with my team for the best possible outcome.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play select baseball as an infielder and pitcher for Havoc baseball club. I also play 7v7 with Heir Academy and on their spring HS tackle team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed as a leader on and off the field. Being a QB and a pitcher in baseball I think you naturally gain some leadership skills but over the last couple of years I have honed in on defining those skills to best suit the team and needs in any given moment. Teamwork is also very important as I alone cannot win us games it takes everyone on the team to do their job.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge I have faced so far is I was the starting varsity QB my freshman year with a winning season and coming into my sophomore year with a brand-new coaching staff I lost my starting spot to a junior. It was a difficult and humbling experience and, in the end, has made me a better person and athlete.
