Truesdale is one of the top LB’s in the state and one of the top players in the 2028 class. Having him in attendance in Warwick and getting to see the talented athlete work was outstanding. He had solid combine numbers, which were affected by the conditions.

Truesdale is a beast. He is a monster physically, and shows a ton of muscle in his physique. He finishes plays, and is a hard worker on the field. I liked his vision, and footwork which allowed him to move coast to coast across the field with the Line Backer group. Moving forward, Truesdale should look to continue to working on all his traits with fine tweaking as he continues to work through High School.

Evan Truesdale established himself as a physical and disruptive force at the linebacker position throughout the NY Exposure Series with his downhill play style and relentless approach. He consistently played with urgency and intent, shooting upfield to meet ball carriers early and limit any room for gains. He has a presence in the middle of the defense that can command a defense, as his physicality and tackling mindset makes him a difficult player for runners to avoid in space. Truesdale also showed strong reaction skills; closing distance with authority and quickness that is rare for his size.

Evan Truesdale made his presence felt at the linebacker position with his aggressive downhill style of play and physical mentality. Evan’s physical presence stood out immediately, and you could tell he has the ability to deliver punishing hits that make ball carriers think twice about running in his direction. Evan would scream upfield and attack the ball carrier, giving little chance for runners to get past the line of scrimmage in the drills. A reactive defender with strong instincts, he consistently closed ground in a hurry.

Evan Truesdale is an LB that will showcase his athleticism all over the field, especially when chasing down ball carriers’ sideline-to-sideline. That ability showed greatly against quick screens to receivers. Straightaway, Truesdale is a player that can line up in multiple spots, including out at the edge role, being able to rush the passer with his speed. Thereupon, he is not afraid to stick his nose into the LOS or assist his teammates in making difficult tackles.
