I would like to see Barnwell gain a few pounds for strength and physicality. 640 yards and three total touchdowns, are the stats for him throughout the first portion of the season.

Barnwell is extremely quick. The Connetquot RB, displays outstanding vision. I rarely see him miss gaps, and he always choses the right hole to burst through. His footwork, is elite, and every play shows him making a cut or breaking a tackle. He is elusive. I like his spin move, and his vision through it as he always makes a play. Barnwell is a speedy athlete, who needs physicality to make him a complete RB.

Barnwell had an impressive game in a win for Connetquot. In just one half, the RB put up 158 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball he also had one PBU.

Standing at 5’11” 180-pounds, Barnwell has a solid size for the RB position. In a stacked 2026 class Barnwell is at the top of the list for good reason.

Barnwell is extremely shifty and has smooth hips. He makes cuts across the field with ease and is extremely tough to tackle. He is a good pass catcher and a threat from the backfield. He has solid speed and can reach the next level quickly.

Barnwell had an excellent Junior season with impressive tape. If he continues on this path, he can cement himself as a top back in the 2026 class.

The tailback from Connetquot put together an excellent junior season. The 2026 class is loaded with amazing running backs, and Barnwell asserted himself into that conversation. Barnwell is shifty and has breakaway speed to make game-changing plays, along with the ability to cut smoothly and make defenders miss. His pass-catching ability out of the backfield was solid during his junior year, and this offseason he’s elevated that part of his game with great performances in camps and 7v7s. I was really impressed with his testing numbers; across the board, he tested like an athlete with some long speed and short-area quickness. Muscular body type with some ankle flexibility and loose hips.

Performance-wise, there was a lot to like; the overall movement skills are there, and Barnwell does a great job moving with a low center of gravity and balance.
