Vessel is the ultimate utility weapon, an elite athlete who can flip the field in all three phases. At DB, he plays with aggressive hands and mirrors receivers well. On offense, his acceleration and vision make him a home run threat. He has elite straight line speed combined with quick twitch change of direction that enables him to excel in the open field. Special teams could be his ticket to early college playing time.

Vessel has elite ball skills and he is a ballhawk in coverage who doesn’t give ground easily in close quarters. His footwork is superb and he transitions into his backpedal smoothly. During the 1 on 1 period, he won the majority of his reps and hauled off several interceptions. Vessel is a sticky defender who is able to turn, cut and run with receivers, staying in phase, mirroring his opponent in coverage. He is technically sound and plays with a swagger. During the fall he plays on both sides of the football and this enables him to be a playmaker wherever he lines up.
