[player_tooltip player_id='1305149' first='Carrington' last='Coombs'] - Hebon Christian

A two-sport standout who really shined last year as an edge-defending outside linebacker, Coombs brings a muscular 6-foot-3 220-pound frame and is currently committed to the in-state Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He's an aggressive defender who uses his length to shed blocks and find the ball-carrier. He's a high-motor defender who did a good job swallowing up running backs in the backfield. He holds the edge against the run while also proving to be a dependable pass-rusher against the pass. He's coming off a fantastic 2023 season as a junior where he made 41 tackles, six TFLs along four sacks along with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Once a "sleeper" linebacker in the Atlanta area, Coombs is now regarded as one of the best in the metro-Atlanta area, now coming in at No. 138 overall in Georgia for the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313964' first='Quatorius' last='Walker'] - East Paulding

A stout, quick-reacting linebacker who made a big impact last season for the Mays Raiders, Walker will suit up for the East Paulding Raiders this fall, and will head to play for the Marshall Thundering Herd when he gets to the next level in 2025. As a player, it was easy to see why Walker needed to be added to the latest 2025 rankings. At 6-foot-2 210-pounds, Walker has a promising frame and knows how to deliver, a sound hit behind his pads on the ball-carrier. A physical linebacker who can fight off blocks and read the run, Walker runs well for his size and knows how to attack when in pursuit of the ball-carrier. A sure tackler who only played in five games last year, Walker's size, versatility, and overall potential are just a few reasons why he earned a fresh ranking in this latest update. His best football is ahead of him, and he's likely bound for a strong senior season in 2024. Now, he's ranked as the No. 143 overall prospect in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1313930' first='Antoine' last='Deslauriers'] - Rabun-Gap

A fast-rising linebacker from North Georgia, Deslauriers is a dependable linebacker who loves contact who decided earlier this summer to make a commitment to the new staff at Syracuse. Deslauriers moved down to Georgia from Canada and has gotten better and better over time, and he's fresh off a giant junior season where he made 72 tackles, 18 TFLs, two sacks, three INTs and two forced fumbles. He's a physical linebacker who knows how to wrap up and make a big play in the open field. He runs well and brings a promising 6-foot-1 225-pound frame. He brings a tough, tenacious mentality along with relentless effort, allowing him to chase down the ball-carrier and make plays in the background. He's a weapon at the linebacker spot, and after a big 2023 season, Deslauriers was an easy addition to the 2025 Prep Redzone rankings. He's now ranked as the No. 115 overall prospect in Georgia.

[player_tooltip player_id='1305396' first='Zacari' last='Thomas'] - Jones County

A versatile linebacker who can play both inside and outside linebacker, Thomas is a smart defender who brings an explosive skillset to the Greyhounds defense. He reads the run well with the ability to fly off the edge and rush the quarterback. He's strong enough to fight off blocks and quick enough to find his way into the backfield on any particular play. He's a dependable defender who made a respectable 47 tackles, eight TFLs with three sacks, 13 more QB hurries and two fumble recoveries, taking one back for a touchdown. He has a nose for the football and showed last year that not only is he one of the best overall defenders in the area, but that he's deserving of a much-needed Prep Redzone ranking. After that impressive junior season, Thomas is now ranked as the No. 147 overall prospect in the state.
