On defense, he shows good range at the safety position, always seems to be in the right place, and when given the opportunity, will make a play on the ball. He's got prototypical size and length, makes acrobatic plays on the ball, and shows good change-of-direction in coverage. When he sees the route, he shows the ability to drive on the ball and make a play. He's not just a cover player; he will stick his head in on run plays. I'm really excited to see his progress this season. He rushed for 243 yards, three touchdowns, and averaged over 11 yards per carry. Toombs is a north-south runner who hits the hole quickly and runs with good power and forward lean. He runs through arm tackles and always finishes his runs. He had a terrific spring camp and game where he rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. The rising senior will look to finish his high school career off the right way. After totaling over 100 tackles last season, Saberson consistently strikes blockers with power and physicality when filling the hole. He is a punishing hitter, steady through contact, and does a good job scraping through trash. Coaches, check him out!
