June Update: 2027 Stock Risers

During the summer, before the season, winding down the season, and right before the final signing day we adjust the rankings. In this article, we are going to highlight prospects that are building momentum going into the upcoming football season. As always, the list is a strong one in terms of talent.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1195565' first='Isaiah' last='Stephens']-Running Back-Sheridan-5'8” 150-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Sheridan running back has had no problem opening eyes on the camp circuit this summer. Stephens has great vision and does not seem to have a problem finding the rushing lanes. He does not go down on initial contact. Stephens has the ability to break tackles and explode into the second level. He works effectively in the passing game and is a running back that rarely has to come off of the field. Earlier in the summer, Stephens earned a scholarship offer from SMU and he is just getting started. He is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='916214' first='Messiah' last='Jones']-Defensive Back-Little Rock Parkview-5'9” 150-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='916214' first='Messiah' last='Jones'] does an impressive job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Jones uses his hands well to jam opposing wide receivers. He can bump wide receivers off of the passing routes. Jones plays the ball well while in the air. He is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for Parkview. Jones has the potential to become a lock down defender and force opposing quarterbacks to adjust to the coverage that Parkview will throw at them.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1197996' first='Jack' last='Summers']-Offensive Line-Springdale Har-Ber-6'3” 300-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the years, the Har-Ber Wildcats have done a great job of producing talented offensive linemen. [player_tooltip player_id='1197996' first='Jack' last='Summers'] is the next in a long line of offensive linemen to watch out for over the next few years. He explodes out of the stance and gets into opposing defensive linemen quickly. Summers is strong enough to keep opposing pass rushers out of the offensive backfield. He is an offensive lineman that I expect to continue to gain recruiting momentum this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1119972' first='DJ' last='Jefferson']-Quarterback-Nashville-6'0” 160-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Nashville Scrappers always seem to produce talented prospects. [player_tooltip player_id='1119972' first='DJ' last='Jefferson'] is a quarterback that can hurt opposing defenses in a variety of ways. Jefferson is a signal caller that can pick apart opposing defenses running or throwing the football. He has an accurate throwing arm and can fit the ball into some tight coverages. Jefferson is mobile enough to escape the pocket and use his legs to extend the drive. Jefferson is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='557681' first='Hayden' last='Sublette']-Tight End-Maumelle-6'3” 210-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='557681' first='Hayden' last='Sublette'] impressed in Broken Arrow several weeks ago. He displayed tremendous versatility and showed that he can play multiple positions. Sublette has the quickness and athletic ability to create separation from opposing defenders. Meanwhile, he has the blocking ability needed to open rushing lanes for his running backs. Sublette has earned a scholarship offer from the University of Arkansas and is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
