From time to time, we at Prep RedZone Arkansas take a look at some players that have been flying under the radar. It gives us an opportunity to put the spotlight on some players that have not had it flashed on to them. For the purpose of this article, we are going to keep our focus on some of the 2022 class and then next week we will look at some 2023 prospects. Mario Ganter-Athlete-El Dorado Ganter is one of those athletes that can light it up, both on the offensive side and the defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, he has the speed to create separation from the defenders and can both the slot and the outside receiver position effectively. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball he had 48 tackles, five interceptions, eight pass break ups, and three tackles for loss. The young man has a nose for the football, and he will not shy away from contact. Ganter is a player that has the potential to have a huge 2021 season and he should be a player that will see the field on Saturdays in the future. [player_tooltip player_id="75106" first="Garrison" last="Jackson"]-Tight End-Gentry In 2020, Jackson hauled in 27 receptions for 335 yards and two touchdowns. He is a big target at 6-5 and 240-pounds. Jackson is excellent at being able to high point the football and keep the opposing defensive back at bay. Jackson is an effective blocker as well. He is an unselfish teammate and does not mind opening a lane for his teammates. Scouts are going to be impressed with how he uses his size and athletic ability to get open. Jackson has the potential to play on Saturdays and he will not remain under the radar for long. [player_tooltip player_id="93534" first="Adrian" last="Carranco"]-Wide Receiver-Beebe The first detail that will stand out about Carranco is how he uses his mix of speed and route running to get into the open field. Carranco has impressive vision and just has a knack for finding ways to get open. The Badgers are creative with how they get the ball to Carranco. The Beebe coaching staff is able to line him up all over the field. He is a solid wide receiver, but another facet of his game is his unselfish blocking for his teammates. Carranco has flown under the radar, however he has recently received his first division one scholarship offer from Central Michigan. Fans should look for his recruiting to blow up over the next few months. [player_tooltip player_id="127245" first="Ryan" last="Maxwell"]-Defensive Back-Fayetteville What sticks out about Maxwell immediately is just how quickly he can flip his hips and stick right with the wide receiver. Maxwell uses his hands well to disrupt the opposing wide receiver’s routes. He does a terrific job of playing the ball in the air and he can fight through the wide receiver to make a play on the football. Maxwell has the speed to terrorize opposing quarterbacks and most choose not to throw in his direction. The potential for explosive plays is always there with Maxwell. Maxwell is one of the best defensive backs in the state. He will likely not remain under the radar much longer. [player_tooltip player_id="93557" first="Samuel" last="Nieves"]-Offensive Line-Jacksonville The powerhouse Jacksonville offensive lineman is a player to keep an eye on this season. Nieves plays with good foot speed and has displayed that he can overpower opposing defensive linemen. Nieves is a very solid run blocker, and he does not have a problem creating rushing lanes for his teammates. From a pass blocking perspective he holds up well at the point of attack and he is quick to get into the opposing defensive linemen. At 6-5 and 310-pounds Nieves will not stay under the radar for long.
