Perhaps no region in the state will be as affected by the realignment multiplier than Region II-3A. Region mates St. Joseph's, Southside Christian, and the two-time defending 1A champions in Christ Church will all move up, joining Powdersville, Carolina, and Palmetto. Here's a look at who we think will have a big impact in this year's region race.

Carolina Trojans

JaSean Bowens ATH, 2025

The Trojans struggled last season, but Bowens was a true bright spot for Carolina. He threw for more than 1,200 yards, rushed for 120, and made 20 tackles on defense. He also lines up at WR for the Trojans. Bowens throws well on the run, he's dangerous with his legs, and he's a sure tackler on the defensive side of the ball.

Christ Church Cavaliers

[player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] WR, 2025

You might be tempted to write off Repp because he's not a big guy. Don't. He's absolutely everything you want in a wide receiver, and he's the gear that drives Christ Church. With [player_tooltip player_id='1013068' first='Tucker' last='Hendrix'] at the controls and [player_tooltip player_id='816751' first='Jude' last='Hall'] (who IS a big guy) as a complementary receiver, Repp will have a big arm to find him and plenty of room to operate. He runs great routes, he can run away from you, and he can make guys miss. He's in line for a huge year.

Palmetto Mustangs

Isaiah Hill CB, 2025

Hill was a force for the Mustangs defensively in 2023. He recorded 91 total tackles with 4.5 for loss, picked off three passes and knocked down four more, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble. He's obviously a good tackler, but Hill also shines in coverage and does a good job of chasing down plays from behind.

Powdersville Patriots

[player_tooltip player_id='1253958' first='Elijah' last='Huggins'] ATH, 2025

Huggins is a "hold your breath" guy for the Patriots. Every time it's in his hands, he's got a legit chance to score. He's quick, he sees the field really well, and he's capable of hurting opponents in a bunch of ways for Powdersville, as last season's 10 all-purpose touchdowns show.

Southside Christian Sabres

Jeremiah Jackson OL/DT 2025

Jackson is massive, and he helps control both sides of the line for the Sabres. On defense in particluar, he's got a great first step, quick feet, strong hands, and does a good job of winning one-on-one matchups. He also pursues well, and always seems to be around plays at the line of scrimmage.

St. Joseph's Knights

[player_tooltip player_id='1013066' first='Brayden' last='Johnson'] RB, 2025

The Knights hang their hat on the run game, and Johnson is the feature guy. He rushed for 1,400 yards and accounted for 30 TDs last year, and is back and poised for an even bigger season. He's a physical, hard-nosed runner who also has plenty of speed, and he's the perfect feature back for the Knights' offense.
