Mississippi had another heckuva month in recruiting. Players from around the state are quickly becoming known as national recruits. To finish up the month of March, we will quickly be recapping what’s been going down in the great Magnolia State! NEW NATIONAL RECRUIT STATUS | 2022 DL | March was probably the biggest month of Bryant’s college recruitment. Bryant lists offers from 10 of the 14 total SEC schools. 3 months ago, this was a guy that almost nobody had even heard of. Now, schools as far as Texas and Oregon are seeking his talents. Bryant has ascended to the top name on most boards. The 2022 DL class is going to be one for the ages. | 2022 DL | The Biloxi stand out already listed offers from multiple SEC West programs, but this month became a target for several Big 12 teams. TCU and West Virginia both ventured out of their footprints to extend offers to Moss. Moss is becoming yet another 2022 DL target that will be able to play anywhere in the country. Trevion Williams | 2022 LB | Another unknown guy this time last year, Williams continues to pick up nation wide offers. In March, he added offers from Auburn and Arizona State among others. Consensus is showing that a lot of teams love Williams’ versatility and think he could even play defensive end at the next level. | 2022 RB | The Clemson Tigers offer the smallest amount of players in the country each year. They rarely come down to Mississippi either. Robinson just added an offer from Clemson yesterday. He has solidified himself as a top 10 back nationwide. BLOWING UP | 2022 LB | No player in the state of Mississippi has had a busier March than . The athletic linebacker added 10 new offers this month, but is still waiting on that first Power 5. Before signing day, Ford will have more than enough opportunities to choose from. | 2022 DB | is getting closer to national recruit status every week. Adding offers from Florida State, Michigan State, Illinois, and 4 others, Miller has been one of the hottest DBs in the southeast. Watch for this talented defensive back to be a big time riser in the rankings. FIRST OFFERS | 2022 LB | A long and athletic linebacker, added his first offer from MGCCC this month. He was featured earlier in the month in one of our sleeper pieces and the rest has been history. His length and skillset will open a lot of doors soon. Zyonn Mayes | 2022 DB | Zyonn Mayes was another sleeper player who benefited early. He added Holmes as his first offer. Another guy that will pick up steam as the year continues. | 2022 DL | has been a quick riser in recruiting circles this spring. His athleticism and ability to run in space has really shown well in camp settings. Jackson added his first offer from Alcorn State this month. SOON-TO-BE POWER 5 | 2022 ATH | Lewis picked up a ton of the regional Group of Five schools this past March, but he surely isn’t done yet. His insane skillset and athleticism leaves the door open for plenty of schools to continue to offer him. After assessing his film and having conversations with folks, this is a player that a lot of people consider to have a chance at a Power 5 offer soon. Jordan Anthony | 2022 ATH | Similar to Lewis, Anthony has picked up G5 offers such as Arkansas State, Louisiana, and Navy, but ultimately has P5 upside. Teams love speed, and Jordan Anthony has a lot of it. He recently ran a 10.70 100m at a meet in March. Look for a Power Five team to pull the trigger soon on this kind of athleticism and talent. | 2022 OL | Another player who has collected over 10 Group of Five offers, Pollard recently took an unofficial virtual visit to Auburn. Due to his mean streak and tenacity in the run game, it won’t be a surprise when Pollard adds his first Power Five offer very soon. He already has interest from several teams. GOLDEN EAGLES ON A ROLL Southern Mississippi has been on a hot streak in state. The Golden Eagles currently have the No. 1 recruiting class in the C-USA, and it’s only been made up of MS players! | 2022 RB | Clay broke down his decision with us earlier this month. He was the first player to commit to Coach Hall. and | 2022 OL | Twin brothers Kamron and added their first official offers from USM last month, then made their commitments to USM this month. Two OL with a ton of upside. | 2022 DL | Dinkins was a player that busted onto the scene this month, but ultimately decided to wrap it up just as quick. He became the first defensive commitment for Southern Mississippi. Golden Eagles will have to fight to hang on to him, as Power 5 schools will soon try to come in to play. Baylor has already offered. | ATH | The most recent HS commit to USM brings a ton of versatility down to Hattiesburg. An exciting month comes to a close.
