Film Eval: “Prospect Index” Submissions Part 1

If you have followed any of our PrepRedzone accounts on Twitter, you know all about our new feature that allows players to directly create their own profile in our system. This has become a huge asset for us and gives players complete control over their information! Every time a new profile is submitted, we appreciate it because it allows us to add new players to our rankings that we may be missing out on. In this series, we will be diving into profiles that are submitted and checking out some tape. Let’s take a look at some of our newest members below. Brawner Cregeen Brawner Cregeen 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Corinth | 2023 State MS | 2023 QB | Corinth A sophomore starting QB at a big time program, Creegen led Corinth to a 6-4 record in his first year. The young QB stands tall in the pocket and plays with good confidence for his age. Creegen has a quick and fluid release that allows him to get the ball out of his hands. He throws exceptionally well downfield and off play action. In the pocket, Creegen stays calm and can step up well. Creegen throws with good anticipation and accuracy at all levels of the field. Gonna be a fun kid to watch as time goes on. Young QB with swagger. Chancellor Baron | 2023 LB | Mendenhall Although he isn’t the biggest, Chancellor Baron is a tough dude on tape. Baron plays at the outside linebacker position right now, but could easily move inside over time. He has speed and violence, which is always a great combo for modern day linebackers. In the run game, Baron relentlessly gets off blocks and throws his body around to cause havoc in the backfield. In pass coverage, Baron has the sideline to sideline speed to play shallow zones well. He can bait QBs with his eyes into easy INTs. Type of guy to continue watching as he progresses. Connor Foy Connor Foy 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Pearl | 2022 State MS | 2022 OL | Pearl Connor Foy Connor Foy 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Pearl | 2022 State MS is a college level center who can snap already. Foy has good bend and can explode out of his stance. A good athlete in space, Foy’s athleticism is on full display when he pulls and gets to bully a defender. This is a nasty kid who plays with an attitude. He has a well defined upper body and is capable of dominating anybody across from him. In pass protection, Foy plays with a wide base and good initial punch. He mirrors defenders well and sets his quarterback up for success. Foy lists offers from Alcorn State and Hinds right now, but expect him to keep adding stuff as time goes on. Another great OL prospect in the 2022 class. JJ Parker JJ Parker 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB Sumrall | 2022 State MS | 2022 RB | Sumrall A scatback type, JJ Parker JJ Parker 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB Sumrall | 2022 State MS can absolutely go. He has great speed in the open field and hits the hole hard. Parker has quick feet and good acceleration in the backfield. Although he isn’t the thickest, Parker bounces off contact well and plays tough to tackle. In addition, he has value as a return man. Would love to see him more as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Interesting player to keep track of throughout his senior season. Love his twitch and quickness. Kamp Shepherd Kamp Shepherd 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH/TE Tri-County Academy | 2023 State MS | 2023 ATH | Tri County Academy Shepherd was an extremely versatile player last season, totaling 4 offensive scores and 8 INT on defense. This kid is all ball player. On offense, Shepherd lines up at receiver and tracks the ball well downfield. He does an exceptional job blocking on the outside, as he looks like a really skinny offensive lineman in space. On defense, Shepherd covers well in zone and loves contact. He continually will lower his shoulder into in coming ball carriers. Shepherd also has smooth and natural hands when catching the ball. Love this kid’s tenacity and physicality. Will be a fun one to watch for the next two seasons. Matthew Adcock Matthew Adcock 6'3" | 235 lbs | LB Simpson Academy | 2023 State MS | 2023 LB | Simpson Academy Matthew Adcock Matthew Adcock 6'3" | 235 lbs | LB Simpson Academy | 2023 State MS is a traditional MIKE style linebacker who shows no care for the other team. This guy flies around and knocks people’s heads off. Adcock does a great job at diagnosing plays and reacting quickly. He is an extremely efficient tackler in the open field as well. Adcock brings the boom using his natural strength and athleticism. He uses this strength to get off of blocks easily as well. In pass coverage, he can cover shallow zones efficiently, but is a much better pass rusher and blitzer. Love his play style. With continued physical development, this is the type of guy that could be a problem at the next level.
