Week three of the Golden States football season started off to a strong start with powerhouse programs going head to head with the likes of Monterey Trail, Clayton Valley, Campolindo and Rocklin among others. Below we will break down some of the top performances from week 3 of the season. Dylan Overstreet, Casa Roble HS The 2021 prospect went off in Week 3 rushing for 280 yards on 23 carries and tacked on 5 touchdowns. Overstreet is a well put together runner that is tough between the tackles and fast enough to break it outside and make people miss in the open field. Ayden Edwards, Vista Del Lago HS The very athletic Dual-Threat quarterback helped upset No. 6 Inderkum at home and passed for 268 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding another one through the ground. He is an explosive playmaker that has next level abilities. Nathan Kent, Rocklin HS Kent has came onto the Varsity football scene early in his Junior year and has solidified himself as one of the top pass catchers in all of Northern California. Already holding an offer from BYU, he erupted last week for 156 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns against Oak Ridge in Rocklin's big time win. Darius Crowther, Christian Brothers HS Crowther is continuing to prove he is one of the top backs in Norcal regardless of class. In week 3 against Jesuit he rushed for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns while displaying big play ability, strong lateral movement skills and great contact balance in traffic. He is a smooth runner that has FBS level abilities at the next level. Elijah Klock, Campolindo HS Klock is one of the best interior OL across the region and plays with heavy hands and a strong base and leg drive. Winning with first step explosion and inside hand placement on defenders while finishing blocks with an attitude, he has FCS abilities at the next level and should continue his dominance going into his Senior season. Derek Moreland, Clovis West HS Making the change to linebacker from defensive end for his Senior season, the Clovis West product is a dominating force at the second level that is a big time hitter in the box while athletic enough to play in space. Averaging 10+ tackles a game through the first two weeks, he will continue to have a stellar Senior campaign. Dante Antonini, St. Vincent de Paul HS Antonini is one of the best athletes in the entire North Bay and one of the top under the radar prospects in Northern California. Continuing right where he left off during his Sophomore campaign, he erupted for 125+ receiving yards and 3 TD’s against Analy High School along with 8+ tackles on defense and multiple PBU’s. Displaying an explosive first step off the line and strong hands/ball location skills, he can run through arm tackles and understands finding the soft sports in zone coverage and settling. FCS+ talent at the next level with good upside on the defensive side of the ball. Richard Jackson IV, Gunn HS Able to play multiple positions at the next level, Jackson is a big bodied runner that can play multiple positions at the next level. Last week, he exploded for 168 yards on 20 carries with 3 touchdowns. As the year continues, he will be one of the Top Bay Area backs and could find himself as a linebacker at the next level. Jack Hubbard, California HS Rushing for 163 yards against a stout Monte Vista team, he is a downhill runner that has terrific vision through the LOS and a strong initial burst with third level breakaway speed. Playing for an impressive California HS team, he will continue to be the work horse for the East Bay power. Jack Endries, Monte Vista HS Endries is one of the top tight ends in the entire state and has big time FBS level abilities. Last week, he brought in 6 catches for 77 yards and added a touchdown. A big bodied athletic player that can play in-line or in the slot, he is a mismatch against smaller defensive backs and bigger linebackers as he shows good movement abilities and strong hands. Other Top Performances..... [player_tooltip player_id="25284" first="Hassan" last="Mahasin"], Serra HS Dillan Thoms, Campolindo HS Isaiah Hidalgo, Ceres HS [player_tooltip player_id="25378" first="Rico" last="Flores"], Folsom HS Teddy Booras, California HS Jake Calcagno, California HS Devin Hall, Pleasant Grove Lucas Gomez, Laguna Creek Nekhi Broadway, Monterey Trail Juliono Martello, Colfax HS Preston Vukovich, Jesuit Michael Lewis, Castro Valley HS
