Prep Redzone Louisiana's latest 2025 rankings update, which expanded to 250 total players, was loaded with new faces and stock-risers.

Here's a look at several intriguing prospects in the top-125 spots who made notable leaps and should be known and monitored by college coaches and recruiting fans — but haven't yet been highlighted in positional breakdowns and other rankings pieces.

[player_tooltip player_id='912261' first='Kevin' last='Rideau Jr.'] — 6-2, 170 ATH — Westlake

The long, but solidly built athlete is a prospect we like on either side of the ball — or, for that matter, on the basketball court. But he excelled this fall as a speedy receiving threat with 49 catches for 861 yards and 10 scores, with the ability to blow by defenders on vertical routes or to take screens and shorter routes, show some elusiveness to make defenders miss and explode off for huge chunks of yards after the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='710772' first='Antron' last='Mason II'] — 6-0, 165 WR — Wossman

Another multisport football-and-basketball standout with good size, Mason also shows some speed on vertical routes and on yards after the catch after shorter passes. But the aspect of his game that pops out most on film is his play with the ball in the air as his leap, timing, strong hands and use of his body positioning against defenders to create enough space in tight coverage to make tough catches.

[player_tooltip player_id='710764' first='Bryant' last='Leon Jr.'] — 6-1, 170 ATH — Westgate

Leon is a versatile star for his Tigers on both the football field and the track, where his impressive marks in the long and triple jumps highlighting his résumé. That athleticism and his highlights as a sophomore defensive back initially caught our attention, and he played an even bigger role this fall on the other side of the ball at both receiver and quarterback. As a pass-catcher, Leon is a tall target with a big catch radius and good abilities to high-point the ball and to adjust in the air. And when called upon to fill in for an injured teammate at the helm of the offense, he flashed his speed and playmaking ability with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='915076' first='Jonathan' last='Ford'] — 6-1, 250 DL — Opelousas

Ford's brother, D'Shaun, has been a familiar name around Louisiana and on the recruiting trail the past couple years for his prolific and powerful rushing performances. And "J.J." was among the Tigers' leading playmakers this fall on defense to help lead the program's historic state championship run. He is a stout, strong defensive end with some explosiveness off the line and active, violent hands to his rush and block-shedding to consistently make plays at and behind the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='915073' first='Dillon' last='Compton'] — 6-2, 190 ATH — Bunkie

The Panthers' junior quarterback was a major leader and playmaker in the program's best season in two decades with a combined 2,551 yards and 42 touchdowns as a passer and rusher. Compton's decision-making showed in his 57% passing and 18-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio, as well as his choices the to take off and make plays with his feet, including a 10.5-yard rushing average. Whether he ends up more likely as a safety or offensive weapon at the next level or a quarterback with the right program fit, Compton can be a difference-maker at the next level as he has been for a school that hadn't had much recent track record of success.

[player_tooltip player_id='914221' first='Keizavion' last='Woods'] — 6-3, 215 LB — Haynesville

The Golden Tornado's big linebacker would be one of the proverbial "first guys of the bus" for most programs around the state with his tall frame and muscular build, and he moved well on the field — both laterally in his drops into coverage or making blockers miss on his way into the backfield for plays behind the line, or as he opened up his listed 4.6-second 40-yard speed. Particularly for his size, he showed levels of comfort and confidence being split out to cover opposing slot receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id='913917' first='Zackeus' last='Malveaux'] — 5-10, 160 ATH — Opelousas

Another notable member of the Tigers' title team, Malveaux's explosiveness and speed at the quarterback position were a dangerous complement to [player_tooltip player_id='710072' first='D'Shaun' last='Ford'] in the backfield, as displayed perhaps best of all in the Division-II Non-Select championship game with 114 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries, including a 66-yard scoring dash to the end zone. His ability to make plays with the ball in his hands or the ground that he could cover on the back end of a defense make him an interesting prospect to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='710088' first='Dy'Traevous' last='Lively'] — 5-10, 215 LB — Westgate

"Spida" shared this offseason his enjoyment of proving wrong any doubters who question his ability because of his shorter stature, and he did plenty of that this fall as he flew around for 127 tackles, including 13 for loss and six sacks, from his linebacker spot while also playing a big role as a running back and wildcat quarterback in short-yardage situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='915068' first='Andrew' last='King'] — 6-0, 160 ATH — Richwood

Whether at quarterback, receiver, cornerback or returner, King has been an electric playmaker for his Rams with quick feet and explosiveness and his listed 4.47-second 40-yard speed once he has a seam to get upfield. He reported offers from Tulsa and Grambling State last spring, about 11 months ago, but should be a largely under-the-radar prospect to watch for a renewed recruiting surge this year.
