O’Brien plays with a high motor and consistently moves his feet. O’Brien does a really good job of maintaining and finishing his blocks. He has good hand placement and grip strength and his ability to control and move defenders makes him one of the more consistent blockers in this class. O’Brien can continue to refine his body adding more natural strength and punch to his game.

O’Brien an interior offensive line prospect out of LeBoldus stands 6’2 300lbs and in his tape looks significantly larger than most of his teammates and opponents. O’Brien has a quick first step and that quickness helps him execute reach blocks at a high level. His most consistent trait is how he plays with great leverage and pad level. O’Brien consistently gets inside the chest of defensive linemen and uses his body positioning and ability to play low to win reps and move defenders. In pass pro, O’Brien showcases strength in his hands where defenders struggle to get outside of his hands, he showcases the ability to anchor and hold his ground against bigger defensive lineman in pass rush as well. O’Brien can be effective in space where on a couple of screen passes and blocks at the second level you see some lateral quickness and change of direction.
