Preckel has been a rising athlete the past couples of seasons but had a breakout year as a junior as a receiver. He’s grown into a hybrid of receiver/tight end, with most colleges beginning to recruit him as a TE prospect, including Southeast Missouri and Lindenwood University, who have offered him. Robby runs like a receiver, has great power and strength, speed, and really good hands. He also regularly lays out for the ball and makes difficult catches. Along with his outstanding numbers testing, he was dominant in one on ones. He earned an ACS All-Star game invite.

Holt
– 6’5″ 242 Testing results: 4.99 40 – 4.63 pro agility – 9’1″ broad jump – 26″ vertical jump
Another one of the top tight end prospects in his class in the state, Cunningham had a great combine last year, and returned to compete and showcase his abilities following a great junior season, where he averaged over 18 yards per catch on 41 grabs for 742 yards and 12 touchdowns. Gabriel came in 22 pounds heavier but kept his agility, speed and route running ability. He is not only a big target who finds open space or can climb the ladder and shows exceptional hands, but he is also dangerous after the catch showing a extra gear to separate from defenders,

Key caught my attention in Kansas City a few weeks ago playing for Boom7v7 with his size, speed and ability to get open and make catches. Jayden is strong and was a tough match up for defensive backs knowing how to use it to his advantage. He showed the same thing in one on ones that he did in 7v7, with good body control and ability to make moves in short or medium routes or get open downfield. Key is also looks like a solid LB/DB prospect who should be poised for a breakout season.

, who put up outstanding numbers with his speed and jumping ability. He is still raw with some of his receiving and route running skills coming from a run heavy offense at his high school, but still showed he has the ability to play on the next level in one on ones with his hands and natural talents. Despite his offense he plays in he was still the Lions leading receiver with 360 yards and averaged over 17 yards per catch. He also plays DB and is a prospect schools need to check out.

Kirkwood

Another surprise was the ultra quick and speedy Potter from Kirkwood, although not as much since I heard of some of the numbers he was putting up in combine training to prepare for the Elite combine. Chris came in and had a dominant athletic performance showcasing his big time athleticism, speed and power, plus his very good route running and pass catching ability in drills and one on ones. He just recently landed his first college offer following the combine, and should see his recruitment continue to pick up as more schools find out about him. Chris had 488 yards receiving as a junior but should see his numbers increase in 2024.

St. Pius X
– 6’2″ 187 Testing results: 4.85 40 – 4.2 pro agility – 9’7″ broad jump – 29″
One of the smoothest receivers on the day overall who hit the mark both in testing and with his receiving skills was the talented Hutsler, who I mentioned following the combine as being one of the top performers. Tommy has good size to go along with outstanding athletic ability, and was very impressive in one on ones with his route running, hands and overall ability. He seems to have a good football IQ and understanding of the passing game. It was easy to see how he was one of the top receivers statistically in the Kansas City area with 991 yards and 16 touchdowns on 46 catches.

Sullivan
-5’11” 156 Testing results; 4.88 40 – 4.4 pro agility – 25″ vertical jump
One other 2025 receiver worth mentioning who gave a standout performance was Valley from Sullivan, who competed hard and showed he could play against some talented defensive backs from around the state and region. Seth had solid testing numbers and showed good receiver skills. It was easy to see how he had almost 600 yards on only 19 catches, averaging over 32 yards per catch for 10 touchdowns. He knows how to get open and has deceptive speed to go along with really good hands.
