I’ve watched Jacob a few times in person, and he’s a major standout every single time. His performance against Davison still stands out in my mind.
I have yet to see a more dominant defensive tackle this season. Through four quarters, Jacob consistently plugged up the inside run while showcasing impeccable motor + effort on every passing down. On top of that, he’s got ideal size and power for a defensive tackle.
I strongly believe that Jacob will quickly develop into a dominant player for Grand Valley State. GV got themselves a steal!

I don’t understand why Jacob doesn’t have more MAC offers, let alone B1G 10 offers. Maybe it’s a size issue (arm length?? I don’t know), but Jacob is one of my favorite defensive linemen in the entire state.
Again, not too fancy of an evaluation- Jacob wins with power, and he wins very consistently. Right off the snap, Jacob explodes out of his stance as well as any defensive lineman I’ve watched. Then, Jacob uses a good variety of violent moves to win the block (bull rush, swipe, etc). Heck, I saw him win a few reps against a highly coveted B1G 10 / SEC prospect. On top of that, Jacob has one of the best motors that I’ve ever seen from a interior D-Lineman. He’s a complete package. Maybe colleges know something I don’t (I’d assume not)- but based on Jacob’s play on the field, he’s a B1G 10 prospect.

Jacob was probably the most well-rounded interior defensive lineman I watched last season. There are a lot of great things you can say about De La Salle, but one thing that’s always stood out to me with these Dan Rohn teams is how well-conditioned the players are. I watch a lot of interior defensive lineman who can dominate for the first few plays of every drive, but they quickly become winded. Not Jacob. He’s someone who has a great motor, is agile, yet also has the strength to anchor himself and stop the run. Jacob can play just about anywhere on the D-Line, and I think he has Power 5 upside at DT and DE.
