Here is a look at five kickers from the Class 2A ranks that scored well in 2020.
Bo Reeves Bo Reeves 6'5" | 205 lbs | TE Rossville | 2021 State KS , 6’5”, 210, Rossville – Reeves has committed to play for Central Missouri. Reeves unofficially led Class 2A kicker in scoring with 68 points. He was successful on 62 of 79 PAT attempts and two of three on field-goal attempts. His longest field goal in 2020 was 37 yards. Reeves made 25 catches, 11 of which were for touchdowns, in his senior season, and will be in the tight end mix for the Mules.
Janko Kalan Janko Kalan 5'11" | 160 lbs | K St. Mary's Colgan | 2021 State KS , 5’11”, 170, Colgan – Kalen is a solid kicker going five-for-eight in field goal attempts. His longest field goal in his senior season was a 43-yarder. Kalen has committed to play at Pittsburg State University. He also punts and is going to a school with its fair share of star punters.
Channar Feuerbacher, 5’8”, 185, Silver Lake – Feuerbacher had a solid junior season kicking for the Eagles. He was successful on 46 of 47 PAT attempts. He did not attempt any field goals in his junior year. Silver Lake is always among the highest-scoring teams each year in 2A, so Feuerbacher should have plenty of PAT attempts in 2021.
Emanuel Aguilar Emanuel Aguilar 5'11" | 170 lbs | K Dodge City | 2022 State KS , 5’1”, 170, Cimarron – Aguilar was unofficially tied for the lead in Kansas for field goals made. He connected on 10 of 14 field-goal attempts. That total tied him with Mill Valley’s Chris Tennant Chris Tennant 6'4" | 210 lbs | K Mill Valley | 2021 State KS . He is just a junior, so he will have another high school season to impress college scouts.
Jace Wentling, 6’1”, 180, TMP-Hays – Wentling made three field goals for the Monarch in his junior season. He also was successful on 22 of 32 PAT attempts. Wentling also plays as a wide receiver. He caught 21 passes, seven for touchdowns, in the 2020 season.
