Wood is a running back for the program who really showed out in the game against the Northwest Bruins. It was the rushing attack that was the dagger in the Bruins’ playoff run hopes. Although passing had its ups and downs, I believe if they can run the way they did against Northwest, they will be in great shape, and it will be off the back of Wood. Wood is dominant and smart as a whole when it comes to reading the holes provided. Overall, it was arguably the most dominant performance by a running back in the state during week one of the playoffs.

One of the more productive running backs in the Athens area for the 2026 class, Wood is a dependable runner who runs with authority and gives it everything he has with every carry. He brought the ability to take over games, rushing for 179, 181, and 172 yards in three different games this fall. In total, this promising senior has rushed for 865 yards and 10 touchdowns with a giant second-round matchup coming this weekend against Jefferson. Look for Wood to be at his very best with the season on the line.

Physical RB with good size at 5’11 190. Has the speed to get around the corner but his bread and butter is coming right at you. Tough runner that is hard to bring down with just one tackler. Has the hands to be a threat catching the ball out of the backfield, was the 2nd leading receiver last Fall will 18 catches for over 350 yards.
