Bryce Butler Bryce Butler 6'3" | 240 lbs | TE St. Johns | 2021 State MD , 6’3″, 253, 2021
Bryce is a physical tight end with reliable hands. In the passing game, he’s shown the ability to be effective while being moved to different positions on the field, such as on-ball, off-ball, and even in the slot. He’s displayed the speed to create separation from linebackers using his long stride, helping him get open on crossing routes. He’s also shown a good sense of spacing by finding holes in the defense on short curl routes making him a great safety blanket for his quarterback. Once he’s caught the ball, he’s shown the ability to create yards after the catch using his speed and strength to stiff-arm or run through smaller defenders’ tackles on the back end of the defense and outrun pursuers making him a legit big-play threat. Even though Bryce does a great job as a receiver from his tight end position, he also shines as a blocker. He’s displayed excellent technique on drive and reach blocks, having no issue going one-on-one with opposing defensive ends and linebackers. He’s also demonstrated the ability to pick a great aiming point on his kick-out blocks, creating huge holes on split zone run plays. The University of Ohio signee has all the tools to be a high-level tight end on the next level and the premier tight end in the WCAC, where I believe he will have a tremendous senior season this spring!
Garry Rosemond Garry Rosemond 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR St. Johns | 2021 MD , 5’10″, 175, 2021
Garry is a physical defensive back with excellent footwork and hips. In coverage, he displays exceptional patience by keeping the opposing receiver in front of him until it’s time to flip his hips and run, allowing him to react quickly to other short routes as well. When the receiver commits to a downfield route, Garry does an excellent job of turning and staying in the receiver’s hip pocket, forcing the quarterback to search for another target. He puts himself in the perfect position to create a turnover if the quarterback still chooses to challenge him. As a zone defender, he does an excellent job of being patient and keeping his eyes on the quarterback so he can jump routes and come away with easy pass breakups. In the run game, Garry has no issue delivering support for his defensive back position. He uses his strength to rag-doll receivers that attempt to block him with a violent pull, followed by an open-field tackle that will either hold up the ball carrier for the rest of the defense or take the carrier to the ground for a solo tackle. Much like his teammates above, the Merrimack college signee is a well-coached player with a well-rounded base and tremendous upside for the future. I believe Garry will have another impact year for the Cadets this year and separate himself as one of the conference’s top defensive backs.
