Horton was good on Friday and had a steady game. He didn’t have the biggest numbers, but he had big plays that helped swing momentum and keep the Pirates rolling. He plays hard and was relentless on every snap through all 4 quarters. He had a handful of tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack, and forced a fumble that he then recovered as they pulled away from Concord.

Horton is a fantastic athlete who forced his way onto the field a little bit as a freshman. He’s explosive off the line and does a good job just showing relentless effort and pursuit. He’s got some twitch and bounce in his step that makes you think this is all the tip of the iceberg for him. He’s got a nice frame and it’s one that he’s still growing into. I wouldn’t be shocked if he graduates pushing 220 lbs or more. The future should be bright for Horton as long as he stays on the field and develops.
