Here is the seventh report on soon-to-be ranked talent. This group of eight athletes hopes to prove to be dangerous offensive weapons for the Jayhawk Conference teams in Kansas.
Jace Banks Jace Banks 5'8" | 155 lbs | ATH Topeka West | 2024 State KS , ATH, 5’8”, 155, Topeka West (Coffeyville)
Banks is quick and athletic. Nothing about his stats from his senior year stands out. He rushed for 150 yards and had five receptions for 59 yards. However, the Chargers were a losing team that did not have the ball much. Coffeyville’s coaching staff likes his skills and he will get a chance to compete right away in a two-year program.
Jeremy Colbert Jr. Jeremy Colbert Jr. 5'8" | 150 lbs | RB Field Kindley | 2024 State KS , RB, 5’8”, 150, Field Kindley (Garden City)
Colbert is similar to Banks in terms of his athleticism puts him on the map. He played for a winning Field Kindley team with a stacked offense, so his low numbers are for different reasons. He finished his senior season with 168 yards rushing and 156 yards receiving. Colbert scored four total touchdowns. He has the potential to return punts for the Broncbusters.
Elijah Hakim Elijah Hakim 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Olathe West | 2024 State KS , WR, 5’11” 180, Olathe West (Garden City)
Hakim is a quick wideout with mad hops. He caught 50 balls for 660 total yards for the Owls during his senior season. He scored 11 touchdowns during his senior campaign. Look for him to be playing for a 4-year program after his days as a Broncbuster are over.
Jacob Malcolm Jacob Malcolm 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Shawnee Heights | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’0”, 190, Shawnee Heights (Coffeyville)
Malcolm led Shawnee Heights in touchdown receptions with seven. He finished his senior season with 45 catches for 667 yards. He is an explosive wideout who can gain yards after the catch, by breaking tackles.
Daylan Mburu Daylan Mburu 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Olathe East | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’0”, 180, Olathe East (Coffeyville)
Mburu is my favorite prospect on this list. He is versatile, dangerous, and has a huge stride. He could play as a slot receiver or end up being a pass-catching running back. He brings many skills to the talent and could be a Division I or Division II prospect after JUCO ball.
Trey Noonan Trey Noonan 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Andover | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’0”, 170, Andover (Butler)
I have said this before, but I am enamored with the class that Butler has put together. Noonan is an under-the-radar pass catcher who can line up anywhere in the Grizzlies’ offensive schemes. He finished his senior season at Andover with 35 receptions good for 600 yards. Noonan found the end zone six times for the Trojans last fall.
Tochi Okoro Tochi Okoro 6'4" | 190 lbs | WR Dodge City | 2024 State KS , WR, 6’4” 190, Dodge City (Garden City)
Okoro is a tall target who can line up out wide or play as a tight end. He has a big reach and can create match-up problems for defenses in the red zone.
Jayce Schriner Jayce Schriner 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH McPherson | 2024 State KS , ATH, 5’11”, 180, McPherson (Garden City)
Schriner is a versatile athlete who could play running back, slot receiver, corner, or safety for Garden City. With a new coaching staff and a sizeable recruiting class, there will be plenty of competition for spots and plenty of sorting out for positions and playing time.
