The running back position at this year's PRZ Next Middle School camp in Fort Worth, Texas was nothing shy of star-studded with evolving talents who put their attributes on full display. This year's group came with established skillsets that rival their high school counterparts. It's time to take a dive off into the names and observations of the middle school camp's running back standouts.

Josiah Dickerson (Washington JH, OK 5'6" 155) was this year's PRZ Next Middle School camp MVP. This kid came into camp built like a seasoned varsity running back> Dickerson was an impressive physical and mental specimen. His maturity and explosiveness both were off the charts in every drill. You could tell that He came to stand on business at camp. Dickerson tallied no mishaps during technical coaching the entire camp. His ability to get in and out of cuts and explode to daylight off of the last cone was impeccable. Dickerson is explosive from the crouched position and has soft hands for the catch. Combine all of these things with his blur-like speed and you have the MVP of the camp. Congratulations to Josiah Dickerson for a job well done.

Eddie Braddy III (Stafford Middle School, TX 5'7" 140) is a dual-threat running back in the mold of a slot receiver. Braddy carries the ball with power and is hiccup quick on his breaks. He excelled in pass catching and ability to demonstrate proper pass protection. Braddy doesn't get stuck in his hips when adjusting to redirection commands from instructors and always gives a maximum effort. Braddy will visit the endzone many times in the upcoming seasons if camp indications hold true to form. This is why Eddie Braddy III is a top back in this year's PRZ Next Middle School camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1140372' first='Eli' last='Hendrix'] (Celina Moore Middle School, TX 5'9" 155) was a ball of muscle at camp that moved with a silky confidence. One would expect such a muscular kid to have difficulties with stiffness and robotic biomechanics. This was not the case with [player_tooltip player_id='1140372' first='Eli' last='Hendrix']. He showed fluidity in his running mechanics as well as his start stop opportunities. Hendrix was aggressive in all skill testing and the numbers showed. [player_tooltip player_id='1140372' first='Eli' last='Hendrix'] is and will be a factor for the Celina programs going forward.

LaKenton Jackson (Nichols JH, TX 5'7" 158) is a do it all type of athlete who we struggled to find weaknesses for. He was exceptional at all the major components of the running back position ranging from drills centered around blocking, running, change of direction, one cut bursts, catching, and IQ. Jackson never failed to impress due to his athletic prowess and coachability. Jackson's frame shows that he will be a very good sized back and his skillsets combined with that size will make him a load down the road. This is why he was a camp top performer at the running back position.
