Northwest Winter Showcase Preview: SKILL Kids

The Northwest Winter Showcase will kick off again next weekend December 16th with athletes from Oregon, Washington, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Nevada, and North Dakota registered for the event.    Camp director Michael Snyder has been overseeing the Northwest Winter and the Summer Showcases, which have been incredibly successful and beneficial for the athletes and universities. Snyder says,"Anytime players are able to work out and be evaluated by numerous schools at once, it's a good thing. The number of opportunities and scholarships which have come from the collegiate showcases is unmatched." Hews was incredibly impressive during the regular season passing for 23 TDs/2 INTs. His ability to run the ball at 6-4 was equally appealing.    Matteus Senna 5-10 165 ATH 24' Inglemoor WA     What will likely be one of the top players at the camp. Senna had a phenomenal season, totaling 985 all-purpose yards and 12 TDs, and being named the Offensive POY within the conference. He can also play some D, finishing with 55 tackles and 2 INTs.   [player_tooltip player_id='1091633' first='Will' last='Reid'] 6-0 180 QB 24' Franklin OR   Reid finished 2nd in the state in passing yards and touchdowns during the regular season, being named the PIL Co-Offensive POY. He hit on 67% of his passes with 28 TDs/6 INTs. He's definitely a kid to watch.    Charlie Peterson 5-11 165 WR 25' Maui  HI     The kid out of Hawaii was consistent all year catching 19 passes for 383 yards and 3 TD's, averaging 16.6 yards per catch. It speaks volumes that he is making the trip to work out for these universities.    [player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] 5-10 180 RB 26' Mountainside OR   One of the top players in Oregon. Hicks had a breakout sophomore season, rushing for 1,325 yards and 16 TDs, while earning 1st team all-Metro honors. He has the potential of being a big-time recruit with continued progression.    [player_tooltip player_id='915336' first='Steven' last='Warren'] Jr. 6-2 180 QB 24' Edmonds Woodway WA     The 2* QB was one of the more underrated players in Washington in my opinion, passing for 1700+ yards and 19 TDs, in 8 games. Look for him to do well at the camp.    [player_tooltip player_id='1136376' first='Jaden' last='Brown'] 5-9 195 RB/LB 25' Mountain View WA 1st team LB  70-565-7   One of the GSHL's best overall athletes this season. Brown earned 1st team all-league honors at LB, while rushing 70 times for 565 yards and 7 TDs, with the Thunder finishing 9-2 on the year.    [player_tooltip player_id='1092123' first='Isaiah' last='Olson'] 5-8 150 CB 26' Glacier Peak WA    One of Washington's top sophomore DB's. Olson garnered 1st team all-league honors making 24 total tackles with 4 INT's. Glacier played a tough 4A schedule, against the likes of Camas, Lake Stevens, and Mount Si, making the accolades that much more impressive.    [player_tooltip player_id='407172' first='Jackson' last='Farris'] 6-2 225 RB 25' Valley Catholic OR   Farris is one of the top small school athletes in Oregon. He earned 1st team all-league honors as a freshman and will return as a 3A 1st team all-state projected RB/DE next season.    [player_tooltip player_id='511865' first='Wyatt' last='Andler'] 5-10 200 RB 25' Wells OR   Andler had a big year running the ball finishing 3rd at the 6A level in yards and 2nd in TDs with 19. He was the Co-Offensive POY in the PIL and can also play some fullback giving him options at the next level.    [player_tooltip player_id='945851' first='Parker' last='Jackson'] 6-1 180 WR 25' Snohomish WA     Jackson had another good year for a Snohomish program which has struggled. The 2x all conference WR was listed in the PRZ Top 100 for his class and put up some legit numbers.   [player_tooltip player_id='278391' first='Deakon' last='Looney'] 5-11 235 LB 24' La Pine OR   One of the state's best players you might not know about. Looney was a 1st team all-conference selection at Mountain View the past two seasons. He earned 1st team all-league accolades at 3A La Pine on both sides of the ball this year.    [player_tooltip player_id='1110833' first='Isaiah' last='Owens'] 5-9 165 RB 26' Glacier Peak WA      Owens was [player_tooltip player_id='1092123' first='Isaiah' last='Olson']'s sophomore counterpart on the offensive side of the ball, totaling 340 yards of offense and 2 TD's. They will provide a nice 1-2 punch for a good Glacier Peak program in the years ahead.    [player_tooltip player_id='406775' first='William' last='Ingle'] 6-0 215 LB 25' Wilsonville OR   The brother of 2x TRL POY Earl Ingle. William had a breakout season for the Wildcats as a 1st team all NWOC Selection. He finished with 95 tackles, 6 sacks, and 15 tackles for loss with Wilsonville winning the 5A state title.    Jacob Wasso 5-10 190 RB 24' Mcclymonds CA    Credit to the kid out of Cali who is getting out on the collegiate camp circuit. Wasso was a consistent contributor for a Mcclymonds program, rushing 34 times for 252 yards and 2 TDs on the year.    [player_tooltip player_id='1700377' first='Julian' last='Roso'] 6-1 170 QB/WR 26' Life Christian Academy WA      The young and very versatile athlete can do a little bit of everything, projecting at QB but also playing receiver. On the year he caught 49 passes for 679 yards and 8 TDs.   Koynn Williamdyke 6-0 155 WR 24' RA Long WA    RA Long had a tough season at 1-8 with Wiliamdyke being a huge bright spot, catching 25 passes for 579 yards and 5 TD's. He was named team MVP.    Lucas Shannon 5-11 195 RB 24' Seaqum Secondary CANADA   Shannon was one of the best players in Canada this past season, being named the conference offensive POY. Credit to him on making the trip to show what he can do.    Luke Bowser 5-10 155 WR 24' North Thurston WA     Bowser quietly had a really good season at receiver in a run heavy offense. On the year he caught 19 passes for 305 yards and 3 TDs, for a 3-7 North Thurston team.    [player_tooltip player_id='438846' first='Axel' last='Prechel'] 6-1 170 QB 25' Corvallis   The talented 2 sport athlete has been one of the better QB's in the Mid-Willamette Conference the last two seasons, for a Corvallis program that has struggled. Look for him to have a big off season and senior year.    Darik Taroli 5-8 140 ATH 24' Caldera   The new Oregon HS had a decent season finishing 6-4 with a loss to a good West Albany team in the playoffs. Taroli is the son of one of the state's best RB's ever in Jason Taroli. The former Oregon 6A Offensive POY in 1996.    [player_tooltip player_id='1066605' first='Skyler' last='Cade'] 6-1 165 ATH 25' Vale   One of the state's better small school athletes. Cade earned 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the football, with the team finishing 9-1 and losing to state champion Cascade Christain 27-26 in OT.
