Which QBs do you need to keep an eye on this week in 6A? We've got the details on Prep Redzone...

[player_tooltip player_id='553243' first='KJ' last='Smith'] - Roswell

Plenty of talented QBs have come through the Roswell program this decade, and Smith has been one of the very best. After leading Roswell to the 6A final four last season, Smith is looking for more this year, hoping to ed his Roswell career with a state title. The Hornet QB has been tremendous this season, throwing for 2,220 yards and 33 TDs to just six INTs. He takes care of the football, but he also knows how to deliver a great ball down the field. He has a tremendous RB by his side, but Smith is good enough to win games with his arm if he needs too. He's led the Hornets to at least 49 points in each of their last six games and have a big test this upcoming weekend against Marist. Look for Smith to bring his "A" game once again with the season on the line.

Sire Hardaway - Douglas County

The Tigers are an undefeated 12-0 right now heading into the third round of the 6A playoffs, and the play of senior quarterback Sire Hardaway is a big reason why. The 6-foot-0 175-pounder has been effective and productive all year long as a senior with plenty of weapons around him. He distributes the ball well, shows good presence in the pocket, and has one of the best arms in the area. He's thrown for over 2,500 yards and has made it look easy at times. In round two last weekend, Hardaway accounted for over 200 yards and two touchdowns in a big win. He may not be the biggest quarterback around, but he's a winner, and he's playing great football right now. He has the Tigers in a position to win it all this year, but first they'll have to get through a very tough Lee County team.

[player_tooltip player_id='137476' first='Reece' last='Fountain'] - Rome

It's hard to find a quarterback in 6A playing better than Rome's [player_tooltip player_id='137476' first='Reece' last='Fountain'] right now. A multi-year starter, all Fountain knows how to do it win ballgames. He's one of the more accurate senior QBs in North Georgia who can lead the Wolves offense with both his arms and his legs. He's smart, accurate, and rarely makes the wrong decision with the football. The Wolves are clicking on offense right now, and thanks to Fountain, they're lighting up the scoreboard. With Fountain leading the way, the Wolves have scored at least 42 points in each of their last nine games. They're scoring at will, and it's because Fountain is one of the state's best quarterbacks. He can read the defense, gets the ball out quickly, and knows how to push the ball deep down the field. He's been terrific this year, and he's hoping to lead the Wolves back to the state championship game.

[player_tooltip player_id='661384' first='Baxter' last='Wright'] - Gainesville

An impressive dual-threat quarterback who is having an outstanding senior season, Wright has led the Red Elephants to a 12-0 record with hopes of getting back to the 6A state championship game. Gainesville came up just short last year, but with Wright leading the way with both his arm and his legs, look for Gainesville to come out swinging against this weekend against a quality Woodward Academy team. As for Wright, he's thrown for just over 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns so far this season while running for another 417 yards and seen more scores. He does his job, and he's done it well all season long. He's led the Gainesville offense to at least 40 points in four of the last six games. He's got them clicking offensively, and he has a chance to put up big numbers once again in week three.
