EDMONTON-- With the fall season now wrapped up, we take a geographic look at who are some prospects from the city of Edmonton that are 2025 prospects to know. This group has plenty of athleticism to show off to college coaches at the next-level, and I really like this defensive line class coming thru in the 2025 class out of Edmonton along with a handful of quarterbacks, wide receivers, and athletes that are versatile on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089544' first='Zayden' last='Ward'], WR/ATH, Austin O'Brien (2025) Twitter

Zayden is a prospect that might not be the biggest slot receiver you will ever see, but his fluid agile twitch can get ample separation when he makes his cut. I also like the vision that Zayden brings to the table with his vision when the ball his coming his way as he shows off well-versed hand-eye coordination with his athleticism he shows. He also shows off longer arms than you would expect in his 5'8 150 pound frame as he has the catch radius to high top the football on his tape against Cold Lake that stands out nicely. His instincts come out defensively too as I like watching his reactive trigger to the ball as this is a young man that plays way bigger than those measurables show. He also led the league in touchdowns this past season.

[player_tooltip player_id='910115' first='Sidney' last='Tshuma'], DL, Jasper Place (2025) Twitter

Sidney pops out on tape with his first step, as his athletic movement shows off with how well he can move laterally to crash into the ball carrier. He also shows off swift hands with his sheds and regardless of how heavy the traffic area is within the box his agile presence shows off consistently on every snap. He also has intriguing range that can create chaos outside of the inside box and with his physicality, he is not a kid you want to meet in the backfield when he's getting downhill. Sidney also has intriguing balance with his footwork and is a prospect I certainly see having a college football future in my eyes as his 5'10 220 pound frame has some growth to develop but his reach comes out to a 6'3 wingspan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089534' first='Jack' last='Keddie'], DB, Lillian Osborne (2025) Twitter

You want range in your secondary at the next level? You will want to take a early look at Lillian Osborne's [player_tooltip player_id='1089534' first='Jack' last='Keddie'] as he pops out quick as a sideline to sideline corner that plays with some long strides in his 6'2 180 pound frame. Jack is a prospect that constantly will be the last man downfield running down the ball carrier you can bet that. He also has position flexibility as far as his secondary spot, as I would like to see Jack as a strong safety at the next-level. What also points to that theory, is Jack shows off excellent positioning with his safety tape.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089538' first='Seamus' last='Gillis'], QB, McNally (2025)

Seamus is a 6'2 175 pound quarterback that has plenty of athleticism as at his disposal especially with his legs, as he lead the league in rushing yards during the 2023 season. He also shows off precise ball placement within intermediate routes as a QB prospect that has some upside left to grow with his mechanics. I love watching his awareness take shape as he is quick to react to get himself out of high pressure areas and uses that explosive long-striding ability to get out a jam quickly with fluid sound instincts. Seamus also shows solid efficiency with the use of his touch throws as a prospect that looks like a college football prospect in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089542' first='Mike' last='Zaleski'], DL/LB, Harry Ainlay (2025)

Mike is a defensive end prospect that showed off instincts with his athletic movement and put together a solid set of reps on his junior tape. He shows off fluidity with his mobility and get to the edges as he plays with the range of a linebacker at 6'2 215 pounds. Mike is not a prospect you want to see him get downhill momentum with a free lane to the ball carrier, as this young man's trigger really pops with his big motor off the snap. This kid shows off a prospect in the trenches that is a workhorse that plays with light hands, and should certainly get a bump upwards when our next 2025 rankings come out. Someone find me this young man on Twitter, as he has Saturday football written all over him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089536' first='Nick' last='Funk'], DL, Ross Sheppard (2025)

Nick's measurables show off 6'1 260 pounds on Hudl, but man when this young man gets off the snap he plays much bigger on tape especially with what his downhill presence shows off with the balance of his footwork. Nick is another prospect on my list that intrigues me with his athletic movement when moving side to side as he makes his presence well known the second he gets into the backfield, as his football IQ shows off great vision in the trenches. He also shows off his natural instincts well on tape, as he uses his foot speed to maneuver in the trenches with his developed pursuit angles. He also has some development that is still slightly untapped with developing his hands, but this young man's presence certainly shows off a next-level prospect in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089540' first='Josh' last='Merivirta'], WR, Holy Trinity (2025) Twitter

Josh is a wide receiver prospect that constantly on tape, checks my boxes with how consistently he gets the win on high-traffic catches when it matters most, in the end zone. He also shows off the elusive skilset with his ability to quickly come back to the ball when the throw is slightly off line as he shows off his agility there as well. This young man also shows off plenty of wide open separation from how instinctive he is with his cuts, as he fluidly is over the top of the secondary with his sound footwork. At 5'11 170 pounds, Josh is a prospect that might be slightly undersized, but as a recruiter he would certainly be on my next-level radar.

[player_tooltip player_id='892308' first='Ace' last='Agbuya'], DB, Lillian Osborne (2025) Twitter

When you turn on the tape, you have to pay attention with how athletically gifted Ace is with his footwork. Not to mention, he shows off edgy ball-tracking ability that shows off a cornerback that is stuck like glue to his wide receivers. Ace also shows off a quick twitch with his get off providing run support as this young man has some excellent agility at his disposal. I also like the pop this young man provides with his physicality when he makes contact as that is another skillset your secondary has to have at the next-level. Ace looks like one of the best defensive backs the Edmonton Area has to offer in this 2025 class from my eyes thus far.
